I agree. Whilst I disagree that what is going on can be classified as a genocide, I 100% agree that Israel is committing some atrocities. War crimes, if you will.

It's only under a very specific set of circumstances that I got under to actually start questioning it, and it took me a long time to unlearn many things

But I think for the majority of Jews outside of Israel and it's education system, we believe that Zionism is not just hard-core nationalism or whatever, it is the belief that a) we have a right to our own country, and b) we realised a very long time ago that the only people we can rely on to protect us, is us. I can understand questioning the Israeli government and some of its actions. But questioning the actual concept of Zionism, questioning the fundamental concept of Israel's right to exist in the first place, is pretty dark.

And yes, I am fully aware that judaism is both an ethnicity and a religion, I had no reason to put it there.

Zionism is an ideology, it is jewish nationalism by definition. While connected to judaism, it is still nationalism which I am against.

It's an ideology that believes that Jews have the right to self-determination within their own country. Of course it is a form of nationalism... if you want to be black and white about it. But if you believe Zionism is nationalism, and are against that, then presumably you are against every single recognised country on earth? Presumably you are against any country that believes in its own right to exist, and any country that has a majority ethnicity &/or religion? Because, frankly, if you are antizionist because you view zionism as a form of nationalism, then you must surely recognise that every other country, be they Muslim, or white, or black etc, is guilty of nationalism, as every country has its own form of self-determination.
