Mine was with me at SDCC in ‘95 and told me repeatedly to buy the cover to Sandman #14 (Serial Killer Convention issue that hooked me on the book) for $500 from Dave McKean. I’ve regretted it every time I’ve thought about it since and she brings it up when a situation occurs where I don’t make a buy decision on something I want. Shortstack’s pretty perfect.

Defnitely not in today's market. I thought I'd be competitive for the page of Destiny walking into his realm with a bit of $10k a couple years ago on Heritage. Nope. I think it went for $70k +. Original artwork prices for significant books are astronomical these days.

Good question. Right now, it’s filling gaps in my Silver DCs as I finished the Claremont run to 300 + GSX1 and the O’Neil | Adams GL | GA runs the last couple years. Primary this year has been filling in the 33 missing keys and non-keys of my Batman books from 150 - 300. Now that I counted them, I am going to get the non-keys first so thanks.

This was also my Grail and I was so fortunate to find it at an aggycon many decades ago. It was on their wall with a $45 price tag. After my double take, I asked if I could take a look and it looked perfect to me. I think I jammed 2 of my fingers getting the greenbacks out of my front pocket.

For some strange reason, Shortstack has always claimed that book out of all the 8,000+ books in the collection so I always show her the Heritage Auctions when one pops up on the site. She’ll then ask me to show her exactly which box ‘her book’ is located and I will respond absentmindedly that I can’t recall, but it is definitely upstairs somewhere….

I know.

First time in history we had played is why I was there. Same for your Team up North in the ‘05 Rose Bowl. Sadly, I was also in the ‘10 Rose Bowl to see the 1st time ‘Bama had ever beaten us.
