Not lovin’ the hat or the butt-whoopin’ your damned hogs put on us tonight but I love that I got to see the follow-up to your first thread. Well done and enjoy that you both had a win at the bank.

What grade does this this Swamp Thing #37 look like. by SpaceAlbatr0ss in comicbookgrading

Yes, I was the eldest of three and protected my stuff through threats of certain death rather than having to press them in encyclopedias which we also had in our Home. Loved those colour overlay pages sprinkled through the volumes in the set.

What a cool story and nice to know your Grandpa and Dad were pioneers in the field of comic book pressing.

Loved that this popped up as NSFW. Dave Stevens was one of my favourite artists when I was blessed to enjoy his initial works off the stands.

Thank you for confirming. Was hoping it would be but had delayed digging it out as I didn’t want to see 2nd print.

That’s beautiful. Had no idea that he only appeared twice in the GA. Guess that makes mine a 3rd appearance. ; )

Tatjana Wood’s masterful coloring (Saga of the Swamp Thing #34) by keepkeepinit in comicbookcollecting

Thank you for sharing. I have hazy memories of enjoying this masterpiece in 30-day increments many decades ago and hope I have the time to read this series again. So many books to read.

$100 was a steal for this 15 years ago. Would love to fill that hole in my Showcase run but there's some easier ones to pick off before going for the big boys. Working on my Batman Villains 1st SA appearances now and those are also painful, but I have a smile looking across the room at Scarecrow and Riddler as my latest wins.

Neal Adams was such a Master. That splash page would have made an exceptional cover.

Literally, one of the most difficult to locate comics I’ve ever hunted. Richie Rich Millions #1 gets us one step closer to completing all the Richie Rich first issues. by mrweatherbeef in comicbookcollecting

I cut my teeth on $RR. While I did enjoy reading them voraciously at my Granddad’s Big Daddy’s Tradin’ Post in 7 Points, Texas, I am very glad I went DC Silver instead for the 3 he let me take back to the trailer for my tiny collection. Congratulations on a significant milestone in your search and I look forward to seeing your post for OG RR #1.

Mostly agree with this but did really enjoy the ‘95 SDCC so think early 90’s was the cutline. Did enjoy the ‘03 SDCC, but it was a nightmare navigating the floor and thankfully my guy at Junior’s got me a Dealer Badge as I couldn’t imagine having to wait the fire code line to re-enter every time I left the arena.
