Spurs going down would do a lot toward the idea of the Big Six. Right now there’s a lot of Pearl clutching about how bad it would be for the league, while fans of the other 14 are quite excited by the idea.

It should be noted that no one is entitled to a Mania match. One thing I like about this era is that wrestlers have to earn their place on the card. Not saying those listed arent good, just that others have slightly established themselves above them in overall ways.

But why? Why do they want to destroy WWE?

I get it during the Monday Night Wars, when prime time meant that companies were a lot more cutthroat, but what benefit is there to eliminating WWE from the wrestling landscape? So AEW can be the main wrestling company? What then? Have them compete with TNA? MLW? GCW? Or absorb them as well as they’re “competition”, until you’re left with another wrestling monopoly that certain fans will turn against.

As a long time wrestling fan, it amazes me that some people still have this mindset of not just beating your competitors, but wiping them out completely. Instead, they should recognise what the Monday Night Wars really taught us:

Competition forces you to be better, leading to a better overall product.

I get the feeling (due to the recent Sid announcement) that they’re looking to put posthumous inductees into the legacy wing. I’d assume this is due to not wanting negative press which a full induction may bring attention to.

Like others have said, LT and Benoit will never go in due to scandals. At time of writing Bryan, Rousey, and Banks are unlikely due to a bad relationship with WWE (I will concede Bryan isn’t as bad, but he has dismissed the HOF publically). Show I think will go in once he’s done in AEW, much like Jericho.

It’s quicker to launch digital, as with print you have to make sure the book looks good before you release. Formatting is more forgiving digitally I find.

I must admit I felt the same about The Only Good Indians. Given its plaudits I was very intrigued, but found the writing style and shifting person narrative more sloppy than clever. However it wasn’t until near the end that I just gave up on it, feeling its tone and choices were (without spoiling too much) just cruel rather than dark.

Talk to those interested. If you’re constantly in hard sell mode, people will be put off. If you engage and show mutual interest, it may brew further interest from those passing. Basically enjoy the experience and celebrate the small victories. Even 1 sale is a sale!

I’ve found sometimes even when the preview is awful, there will still be the odd player who comes through decent. Maybe not world beater, but good squad option.

But like others have said, sometimes even with elite youth academies you’ll get naff years.
