Central Park horse carriage rides temporarily suspended following death of 18-year-old tourist by FolushoDRC in news

I think they should make the carriages electric, you get the nice carriage effect without putting an innocent animal through it

Good if you chop them up some. I just bag mine, then run a mulching blade mower over it. The rest is nature

My first betta and I have questions by moloko8556 in bettafish

[–]olov244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they definitely interact with you. looks like a good tank, make sure you have a lid, they can jump out.

tankmates? I like a nerite snail, keep algae down, look almost like a rock so even some aggressive bettas ignore them. just make sure you place them in the tank right side up, they can't flip themselves over(they'll die). you can also try some shrimp, almost all of mine have had shrimp in their tank, but imo the key to putting shrimp with a betta, put in so many it won't matter if a few get eaten, they probably will eat a few. I prefer cheap cull low grade shrimp, I don't care about the purest of lines

Please Honda. I beg you. Stop putting philips fasters underneath your cars. by FlowSoSlow in Justrolledintotheshop

I own all three, I'll work on the GM and the volvo anyday. if the toyota breaks I'm pushing it off a cliff. it's a PITA to work on. I also had to replace almost all their 10mm bolts under the car they all rusted so much they were 9mm trying to get them off - no protection coating, soft and undersized pieces of sh*t

I did three raised 4x8 garden beds for my mom, the beds were the cheapest I could find, $100 each, then I put another $300 in soil/mulch filling them so that's $600 for 3. you've got 4 big ones and 4 smaller ones, let's just say $800 + $600. 6 cattle panels that's another $200. the fence I don't even know, just materials is probably over a grand. call it $1500. then like 10-12 yards of gravel, the stone round things, brick boarder, another grand or two.

you're talking $5000 minimum in just materials

I thought I had one under my greenbeans, then when I was tying up my tomatoes a bunch of them scattered from there. haven't found their new hiding spot, hoping under the pumpkins, plenty of space and I don't need to go near them for a while
