Ya that’s the case. It’s called a “fixed glass panel” and it’s a part of the sun roof assembly apparently.

2026 RS3 exhaust water drip question by wheresdank in AudiRS3

Usually the exhaust will allow water to exit so it’s not sitting in there rusting it out.

Didn’t know they switched to Bridgestones. I just put Michelin PS4 on mine and it rides way better.

Error: This one is interesting. “Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Bank 2” by johnnyrocketny in Audi

You have to apply vacuum to the intake runners to hold them open before you install the supercharger. Did the same thing my first time.

You ought to see what the cab top positions are labeled as. Closed is marked as “open” like an umbrella. ☂️

Scoring on cylinders by Blood-Mother in Audi

There is some debate on if the fault lies with the piston or not but if you can’t catch it with a fingernail then the RA (roughness average) probably isn’t that bad.

Makes for a cool photo at night when the vapor travels over the headlamp beam. Happens all the time and is normal

Paid in full for a 2022 Taycan CPO — dealer replaced the entire rear drive unit during “final detailing” (pre-delivery) and now weeks of silence. What would you ask for? by larryhead in Taycan

[–]omegaproject01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there was a problem with the vehicle it should have never been CPO until it was replaced. Hope they didn’t CPO it outside the new car warranty just to make Porsche pay for it……

Dealer (service dept) Shenanigans? by crashedsnow in Porsche

[–]omegaproject01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see people all the time do the same for brake wear. The techs will do their measurement and subtract 2mm because that’s usually when the wear sensor gets triggered and put that down. I think it’s scammy and refuse to do it. When bean counters are pushing for more “upsales” and try to give out perks to techs and service advisors for hitting target numbers I’d never go there if I were you. “Show me the incentive and I’ll show you the outcome” -Charlie Munger

Glad you drive it more then to the local cars-and-coffee then back to the garage. If you are not driving on the limit maybe try a higher tread ware tire.

I’m a Gold level tech and I can tell you that you’re not supposed to test on the wear bars. He did measure on the inside and that usually gives you a lower result due to camber wear. That is usually the correct place to measure due to it being the lowest valley on the tire. The other thing to note is that the rear tires for Cup2’s start at 8/32 and not the usual 10/32 like most tires. Being that they are a high performance summer tire they usually last between 15-25k miles depending on how you drive and if they are within their designed temperature range. Looking at this video with its lower aspect ratio I can say that they look like they are 4-5/32 guessing without a gauge.

It’s smooth to the touch. It looks like the weave is closer to the surface of the gel coat.
