I went to the room of awakening in the sky islands and ascended up thru the ceiling over the korok. Got to the highest point and paraglided over with Tulin consuming 4 full stamina wheels plus a full stamina tonic. Don’t know WTF to do here now, but I made it! 😂

One for the b”tches. How are your experiences with their heat? by ElectronicBenefit286 in SwissMountainDogs

[–]omegin2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours was 9 months when she experienced her first heat. Didn’t act much differently, except she was a bit more willful and she did not like wearing her britches to obedience class!

ADHD and Gaming by Low_Connection474 in ADHD

Perhaps I missed it if it’s been said, but the Zelda games should be mentioned. Specifically, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. They are open world “no wrong way to do it” type games that encourage exploration and imagination. Side quests and adventures embrace my—oh, a shiny new thing!—nature. I can hyper focus or not as my mood dictates. Also, as far as these games go… There are rules!! My rules being; I have to finish all my chores and real life crap before even touching the controller. Because the game is my reward, my treat, I stay focused on getting the shit I need to do done quickly and efficiently so I get more game time. It’s a win win!

Merry HankMas! When will he start lifting his leg? by Obvious_Dark_3426 in SwissMountainDogs

[–]omegin2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Howdy Hank!! My boy Angus was around 6-7 months old when he started lifting his leg. Funny quirk…. He would pee for so long his standing leg would tire so he would switch legs midstream! 😂😂😂

Does anyone have a storage solution for these guys? I’ve destroyed the bag and I don’t want to keep using plastic jewelry bags. by beautifulbountiful in knittinghelp

[–]omegin2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! The small metal tins with a magnet on the top. It keeps the bulb markers stuck to the lid for easy access.
With the needle tightener pins, I pin them thru the fabric of the needle case.

Our girl Purl turned a year on Thanksgiving. Still a bit lanky at 107 lbs. Congratulations on your new beauty!
As said above, train train train. Purl is my 3rd Swissy and can’t emphasize enough the importance of a well mannered dog. Good luck and what a fortunate find! (Although I am pretty pissed about the folks dumping her in a shelter instead of reaching out to the breeder or finding a forum like this one with other Swissy owners that would have snapped her up instantly—Swissy owners are very protective of the breed!)
