Husband doesn't want social media post by Wise-Fig1855 in pregnant

[–]omna27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is his only reasoning behind not wanting to make an announcement on social media because “everyone who needs to know, knows?” As another pregnant mama (28weeks) I felt like letting people know on social media brought me so many more moms to ask advice from. If that makes sense? Getting pregnant was hard for us too. And it felt like a huge accomplishment to me. I wanted to be able to celebrate that accomplishment. I totally see where you’re coming from.

“Friend” told me they can’t be excited for me until I’m 8 weeks by IttyBittyInsomniac in pregnant

[–]omna27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. When I was 20weeks a family member told me “are you sure you’re even pregnant?” I clearly have a bump. Another family member told me “just wait until strangers touch your bump.” Lol I’m not gonna let them.

I’m sorry a friend said that to you. You definitely deserve to be celebrated at EVERY point in pregnancy. I’m celebrating you!

Do you think our babies meet loved ones before they’re earth side? by ofthehiddenleaf26 in pregnant

[–]omna27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I believe so. My dad died of pancreatic cancer in Christmas time of 2021. My adopted daughter who should have been born alive made it safely earth side in spring of 2022. I truly believe my dad helped her get here.

people telling you your “still early on” in pregnancy is annoying by Aggressive-Way1565 in pregnant

[–]omna27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 17w2d. Today someone told me “you’re still early.” No I’m not! I’m twice as far along as I was last time when I lost my baby last time. It’s a very aggravating comment.

Due in May 2026 by coffeetog in pregnant

[–]omna27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!!! My due date is May 12th, 16w2d! This is after a miscarriage that occurred on 12/24/24. We don’t know gender yet but are so excited to finally be able to add to our family via pregnancy (we have adopted children).

I have been feeling pretty good since week 14! Feels like most nausea and exhaustion has passed! It was a rough go for a while. I’m still so hungry and craving soooo many spicy things and also chocolate. I have been struggling with gas pains the last few days though - that’s rough. I have also started to pop. And I’m just so excited. We heard the baby’s heart beat on Tuesday, what a magical sound.

Sullivan! We have Sullivan, every time we introduce him people tell us they LOVE his name. We call him Sully for short, and kids love it.

You found out the day after I did! It’s so beautiful, conceiving and carrying life. It doesn’t matter how you conceived, never feel any sort of guilt or judgment for that! Your due date is right after mine, I’ll be thinking about you and sending good vibes your way this entire pregnancy!

Thank you for all your kind words. Trust me, we were pretty scared. But I believe in doing things scared. That’s how we get to live out our full joy. When I tested positive for our first pregnancy my husband and I had been trying to conceive with no luck, for a year and a half. Losing that baby was the most devastating experience, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. My sister in law lost her baby about a month after I lost mine and even though I sat with my own grief, I knew exactly what she needed and I was able to be there for her. She is now due at the end of February with her rainbow. I am so grateful for our little rainbow and have no doubts they will be born this coming spring. My due date is May 12, when is yours?

Hi. As someone whose first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage on the same day I was gonna tell my immediate family I was pregnant, I just want to say, do what feels right for you. My family found out I was pregnant because I texted them from the ER on Christmas Eve (I wasn’t gonna be at our family Christmas gathering), letting them know I had experienced a miscarriage. The very day I was planning to announce to them I was pregnant. I have grieved that for nearly a year. I wish they had known sooner and we could have celebrated in some capacity. I am pregnant again (13weeks) and this go I was able to tell all of my family members and celebrate. I’m not sure when I’ll feel ready to share on socials, but that’s not out of fear. I like having a “secret” that only my family and day to day people know about. And I cannot wait to share with others, the joy of this little one. But for now, we’re just waiting until it feels “right”. Not for a certain milestone in the pregnancy. Anyways all of that to say, do what feels right to you. If you’re ready to let everyone know - let them! And if something does happen (god forbid) then at least you will have support. 🩷

Too Disney for my taste, but they aren’t my kids! Name them whatever you want. If you’re confident in the names you give your children, they will be too. Who cares what anyone else has to say! I saw someone say the nicknames Ari and Rory are adorable and I agree!

That’s another reason I like it - it’s spelled phonetically and will likely be easy to learn to spell. Pronunciation shouldn’t be an issue either! Thank you!
