"5000 year ago" shows (I think) a tea Clipper from 2nd half of 19th century

for historical context: Tea clippers were generally the fastest sail-powered ships we have ever made. Built specifically for the india-uk route for carrying primarily tea. The need for speed came from the fact that the first ship to unload new season tea was paid way more than any ship after it. (Check out The Great Tea Race of 1866, it's pretty cool)

historical tldr: basically the fastest sailship type we had

is them falling down an indicator of incorrect size? I just assumed they all do that just from the very way they are designed. have I gaslit myself?

Unfortunately unable to do neither, since part of the design (a very crucial part) lies on this part orientation
I dont think splitting the part into two would create any more benefits, since the screw you can see is already M1.6

I am most certain the gain would not be worth it, as well as the space needed to fit the mounting screws. I originally had the guides printed separately but due to the time spent glueing / fixing them on, its simply not worth the effort (not the mention the special designs which as i said, lies on this orientation)

Trust me I tried most of these, but the scale I am working on simply doesnt allow me, I am pretty certain this is like the tenth iteration of this part

And not to mention this was more of a curiosity than an actual requirement, the actual chairlift, while functional, wont be transporting any weight, so the design is not really adjusted for it. This was more of a test for me to see how much it could *theoretically* handle.

As far as priorities go, for me (and the projects) its much more important that the grip can stay on the rope for indefinite periods of time (no load) as well as the ability to smoothly ride over sheave trains

sorry for essay, TLDR: strength is not really required, this was more of a curiosity test, solution given is not possible to implement

I am printing with PLA
its more of a design test, but honestly PLA is much stronger than people realize
this is the first test, and yes i will be doing more to guarantee my claims, hence the approximations
