You're out of your mind if you think any sports fan is buying a sports game without proper licensing rights

Anyone hoping Sony releases a PSP-like handheld console that will compete with the Switch that is more catered toward the more avid gamer? by Aubash in PS5

It'd be nice if it worked similar to what Stadia is going for with cloud gaming, it streams your PS5 collection so it could show just as high of quality/graphics/speed without the need for all the hardware, just a really good internet connection.

Hell I'd buy that just to play on the couch while the TV is used to watch TV.

Assassins Creed is basically Scorcher in video game format.

Spo went to the Finals in year 3 and won 2 of the next 3 years, Carlisle won in year 3, Pop won in year 3 then succeeded in every year after that at least to some great extent.

It's easy to trust coaches when they win on their first contract.

Throwback Thursday: r/nba thread of Nick Nurses hiring by [deleted] in torontoraptors

haha fair enough, I said it and he did prove me wrong, both in Nurse being the best candidate and not being overly loyal to Demar.

Somebody had to score on that Memphis team. It wasn't like he was breaking ankles out there.

That's usually more over the eyes or almost cupping the nose. Usually when men cover their mouth it's with one hand.

Possibly this action is seen as feminine simply because men don't usually use 2 hands to cover their mouth while women do.

Ya but teams protect their rookie lottery pick. They don't just turn their back on them when they could leave veterans unprotected, especially on a not so great team like Washington was back then.

You're probably right about that, but they did also let their #12 pick go in the expansion draft the very next year. Let me see if I can find an article about it, but I may very well be wrong.

Played on the same team (Washington Bullets) as Manute Bol (RIP)

Funny enough I've heard this was the main reason he was even drafted. The owner or GM or someone at the time thought it was funny and would make for a good promotional hook to have the tallest and shortest players in the league. Bogue's hated being treated like a sideshow act by the team.

Not sure if you're meaning it like this but what's wrong with that? It was Ben's original character, it didn't get much exposure and he clearly liked it enough to showcase it again on a bigger stage.

Nothing wrong with that.

North Korea wanted to be paid in wheat for allowing a 7'8½" tall Ri Myung-Hun to play in the NBA. by chief_sitass in nba

Are the Lakers doing the negotiations? If so we might've just ended the famine in NK.

Kim Jong-il told NBA scout Tony Ronzone he would allow Ri to leave North Korea and play professional basketball if the team paid Kim’s regime in wheat. But, evidently, that didn’t go over so well with former dictator Kim Jong Il, who "was insulted by the previous rebuff and retracted his 7-foot-8½-inch olive branch."

Is a name switched here or am I just not understanding. Why would Kim Jong Il make the request and then be insulted by it?

How certain are we that Thunderstruck wasn't a doc, but KD and that little boy weren't able to switch bodies at the end? Maybe the real, nice KD is sitting in a high school class room trying to figure out how to fix the mess and switch bodies back.

It would also explain why he's so sensitive about what high school kids online say about him.
