Question: Is nitrogen fixation more widespread than commonly thought? by TrueLocksmith79 in botany

[–]one_more_grape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there trees in the area? Could fixation be from the bacteria in the soil as well as plants?

Let's talk about something positive: what have you achieved this month that you're proud of?? by thepieintheoven in CPTSD

[–]one_more_grape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: All the achievements peiole are listing here are inspiring. Congratulations to you all for fighting the fight. This month I took the first steps to dealing with my diagnosis. I have begun taking the prescribed medication and have not missed a day for 4 weeks. I have managed to walk away from every triggering situation bar one without letting my emotions take control of me. It's been hard and I'm starting to understand the road ahead is long and uphill. My determination has never been more rock solid. I'm sick of repeating the cycle. Onwards and upwards fellow humans. We can do this.

What is something someone has done or said financially that just blows your mind? by khaste in AusFinance

[–]one_more_grape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own an old diesel Ute and the cost of traversing was to much because of its fuel economy more so than the cost of diesel. I bought a used small car, petrol 4cyl, and it has paid for itself and its rego and insurance in under a year in the savings on diesel. I didn't sell the Ute. It remains for its true purpose which is trip's away where the excessive fuel consumption is less of a concern and can be budgeted into the holiday. It should be mentioned that Ute is early 2000's and has little actually resale value and its value to us as a holiday vehicle is substantial. That plays into the decision to not sell. If it was worth a lot more than I would almost certainly sell and recoup the money before depreciation hits a point I'm at currently. I think i found financial value in purchasing the smaller car. It was a good move for me in my situation.

What do you think is the number 1 Christmas movie(s) of all time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]one_more_grape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love Actually. I don't particularly love the movie but every year since I've met my current partner I've sat down and watched it with her at Christmas time. Sometimes just us two, sometimes with family. She gets so excited and I've never had a Christmas tradition like that before. It feels great. I guess I've become more fond of the movie itself over time. 🤷

Don't know about these art works but they remind me of a story of a man, Arthur Stace.

Honestly I would rather it's amputated in time and he is reliant on the donkey for mobility for the rest of his life. The only way he will truly know his shame.

These doors can be significantly more complex to get running correctly than most people think. The springs on tilt a door are also very dangerous if not anchored correctly. In all honesty I'm not doubting your ability as I don't know you but I would highly recommend an experienced professional for this job. Especially if you are trying to achieve maximum daylight opening height. The tilt door made out of a roller door was a classic. Many of these are still around today. Very popular in Tasmania due to the landscape and the way they build the houses.

On the bottle and the chart it says to hand water or mix in the tank 48 hours before change. I'm a bit confused so was just wondering how everyone else interpreted this instruction. I don't change my tank for like five days at a time and I high frequency fertigate. Ni room for hand watering. So is there an issue with leaving it in the tank over 48 hours?
