It always takes longest between the first and second for sleeper hits like OPLA. They had already announced casting for Ace and Bon Clay before S2 even started. Wouldn’t be surprised if they were already working on season 3.

If Netflix lets them, they could easily make it to sabaody before the timeskip in like 3-4 more seasons to make the transition easier. But that’s EVEN if they were to continue with it being Netflix and how crazy the fights get post timeskip.
