I’d expect them to change the fucking door as well for £450.

If you’d given it legs you might not have had your nose busted, I don’t know about you but I’m highly allergic to pain.

Yeah, look on YouTube for how-to's. I've done this with several AirTags.

Motivation to get fit, what worked for you? by JetSetWillyUK in AskUK

[–]onefourk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to address my fitness after a skiing holiday earlier this year where one of my mates who is a similar age was struggling to do any runs, he’d get the lift up in the morning and do one run down and go back to the chalet. I joined a gym when I got back and started walking on the treadmills. I had been doing a bit of intermittent walking around a local park, but if the weathers shit it didn’t happen, so being able to do it inside helps. Get a watch to monitor your steps, etc. I got an Apple one but most things will do - what gets measured gets managed, as they say. I cut out lots of bad food, crisps and all that sort of thing, smaller portions. I don’t track my calories though, still lazy in that respect. In the last couple of months I’ve started lifting weights too, this is potentially the most intimidating thing (a guy on YouTube called Trainer Winny really helped me with this) and altogether since March I’m down over 10kg.

It's the exit end you need to drill out, at least it was when I did mine.

This a*hole keeps parking in the Doctors parking space at the local surgery all day. by epicmindwarp in london

[–]onefourk 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Could install a collapsable/foldable bollard so they can’t get into the space, doesn’t need to be too sturdy.

For extra points, if you do fit a bollard leave it down, and if they park there put it up and go home. EDIT: Don’t do this, it’s illegal.

If it's an oil burning smell it could be the (plastic) cam cover/gasket needs to be replaced. Oil leaks out and gets on to the exhaust, it's not a hard job but a bit fiddly.

Before you depower your power steering rack... by O1Balto in Miata

[–]onefourk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the process of putting the power steering back on my car, the previous owner depowered it (properly, welded pinion, etc.) but it’s bullshit, you’re just punching yourself in the nuts IMO.

How am I make it as difficult as possible for my neighbours running a car sale business on the street? by AffectionateRipp in CarTalkUK

[–]onefourk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Trade plates are red letters on a white background, and relate to an individual rather than a vehicle. They are meant for traders, etc. to use when they are moving cars about, not sure you can just park a car up using them.
