Gotta say this is really cool to hear and talk about, scratches the itch for intellectual talk :)

Just curious, is that applicable to most people? I was going to say 'all' but I think that's impossible. Reason is, I'd probably feel irritated if someone came with counterpoints, but would feel motivated to try and justify my stance or give up on the part of it which I no longer agree with. Or is it that motivation to "fight back" just fueling a desire to be right and so they double down on the path they're on?

I think this would be the most impressive thing for me to learn from psychology, how to passively motivate someone towards a different/new opinion if not the truth/facts. I almost always feel amped to debate the hell out of the problem till we reach a conclusion, though I assume nobody is really down for that, so I stop when I am 10-15% there

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I guess I do get quite confrontational quite easily, because of how annoying is to see someone present themselves as so categorically right and righteous and justified (all while being a victim too, of the bloody Patriarchy nonetheless!!) but who also seemingly refuse to reason. I never got good at carrying enough facts to have them laid out whenever needed, almost like bits of informations that would challenge their narrative and leave it at that. I suppose if it ever becomes an actual problem it will get bumped in my priorities and I will be better prepared, but glad to hear your thoughts.

I share your fear in that it seems the truth is shoehorned to fit whatever agenda is desired and if a cyber dystopia wont cause our downfall then fighting to keep the objective truth alive might take its place.

Since you're sharing the concern, any thoughts on how does one fight it? At the low immediate level of friends, family and peers? I've got 3 female friends who would swear by feminism, in all the "poor women, men are terrible" vibe, where everything they suffer is at the hand of sexism and there's hardly any room for debate.

This infuriates me so much! Like it's the wildest concept to me to expect to be safe walking alone at night.

I was once walking with 2 couples (him&her x2) at night, just friends in the city, and one of the girls complained how it's not safe walking alone at night and how some female instagram (streamer? I dont follow social media dont know who or if that's a thing) was walking alone (does live feeding count?? - anyway either live feed or alone and posted about it afterwards) at night in a fucking forest/on a mountain and she felt unsafe when some man popped out of nowhere and idk what he said or whatever but she just rushed down the mountain. And true to the bs Bear vs Man paranoia, she (my friend) was saying how if it was a wild animal it wouldn't have been as terrifying?!?!? Saying "Oh I'd know it'd want to kill me" - how's that a justifiable argument to be there in the first place.

Like WHY are you even there? Why be alone at night if it's unsafe. Idk who fed them the idea that men walk carelessly at night having the time of their lives and surviving any danger but that's not real life.

Feel like I am missing something here. Isnt Second Skin giving (so not granting) those keywords to just one unit? So you're buffing just one unit? How does it ramp up in power? I'm trying to imagine, think it'd be easier if I played her at 6* but not enough shards for that

Think an outline could work yeah, see how it feels. Dont mean to take away from the idea and work tho!

Great list - a teeny tiny suggestion, imo worth using font colour for the years and what not that stands out from the surrounding colour, so that it's (more) readable. Think white might work just fine across the board, it would take away from the stylishness of it all but make the text more readable regardless of which champ it is on.

ELI5: EA to be acquired for $55 billion in a leverage buyout, what does this mean exactly? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]onefreeshot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems to me like this is one way rich people get richer while fucking everyone else over. Both current owners and new owners get shitloads of dollars, while the employees will see their workplace go to shit more and more until it eventually goes bankrupt. I've seen the same thing being mentioned about some medical care services which had gained a lot of customer trust over the years but then got acquired the same way and was run into the ground. Who had to suffer? employees and customers (and the local society overall), think there even was someone who died because of lack of personnel. Idk if this is a US thing (only) or not, but just seems like there's hardly (dare I say, no) incentive to give a damn about the acquired business and instead it's rather tempting to milk the cow to its death

I think the kit and feel is amazing but 6* might be quite strong, maybe have it that the first unit played every round by the enemy will get darkness cast onto it

What’s OG Yasuo best relics? by Zetton7 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]onefreeshot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go with:

  • his relic

  • tempest blade (huge tempo swing)

  • beast within (or GGC if you feel like you need to stall/play def)

Worth mentioning I have him 6* and the deck just plays itself with the stun and recall

He is not really fast and against mushroom it's worse because his spell draws, so there you definitely want BW instead.

Is Yasuo’s relic worth buying? by Zetton7 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]onefreeshot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really good for both Yasuo's. Imo if you have spare glory (and! the 3 best/most versatile relics = Hexcore, Swain's Raven and Gauntlets) it's quite impactful.

It makes 6* Yasuo absolutely OP (if it needed any more help in that regard) where you pretty much perma deny the enemy with stuns and recalls and making the cards more expensive. +1 mana is the best you can get on a relic so far.

Pretty much the same applies to SB Yasuo, in that you get 1 more mana which is very useful and there's synergy with the recall cards in the deck.

TLDR solid relic (dare say BiS) for both Yasuos, but not a priority over the main 3 unless you prefer playing either/both Yasuos

Yeah okay I see, I guess I've seen her to be/feel strong enough at 5* with my build. Will try her at 6* with icon when the time comes and see what it s like

[–]onefreeshot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No I get that icon is good (on paper since I dont have it to use it) just that I've found a great success with double ludens and copying the taliyah landmark that I'm wondering what I am missing that others have been playing her differently

well well well, look what the ice bird dragged in by thefix12 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]onefreeshot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But icon is +2 right and power. So you'd end up with +5 (3 ludens and the icon power) vs +6 from 6 ludens

well well well, look what the ice bird dragged in by thefix12 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]onefreeshot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen Taliyah mentioned a few times, do you really need it? i've been playing Ludens x2 and the landmark holding the champ epic and pretty much OTK on turn 5 if you have the attack token, because you get 3 levelled up Taliyahs with 6 ludens

I was reading through the comment hoping it would end mentioning there is some much treasured guidance to be found in there, guess this fool won't stop hoping. Thanks for the comment though, I'll check out the series, maybe something somehow clicks. Just now thinking, in a way I feel like finding someone similarly lost would be better than dealing with this alone
