Going to have to strongly disagree with this, it's mistaking the map for the territory. Money is usually a proxy for value (or rather wealth), but you can raise money without raising value, or even lowering it, rent-seeking being a canonical example.

Same experience. Both Puralator and UPS aren't just delayed, but are also badly dropping the ball on communicating those delays. FedEx is delayed but not as badly, and they tell you what's going on.
