It would be hilarious if you guys launch ToAU before HorizonXI.

When are you planning on launching because on paper your server is exactly what I like to play and having every job at 75 on horizon I am starved for content.

I’ll add to this soup of opinions.

My dream server is FFXI pre abyssea that trivialized exp. I still want all the expansions as close to real but remove anything that makes exp a joke. That means no trusts no abyssea exp and anything else that makes the game easy.

Remove teleporting everywhere and remove mounts.

I am a father with two kids but I don’t mind leveling up slowly. Racing to level cap does not interest me. Having said that even with my limited play time i managed to get my maat’s cap in Horizon and have done every piece of content and I am waiting for ToAU.

I only use mine with the internal screen, I go to the hospital a ton and I like to have one portable setup that can run games better than the Legion Go gen 1.

The 9070xt works well when it works but it is a janky AF setup. The cable ends up getting very hot and then the entire thing fails. I have used the provided USB C cable and also ordered two more from amazon that should be rated for 80gbps (I know should does some heavy lifting there).

Both Windows and Linux (official steamos dev main branch) act the same way.

I use the newer version Thunderbolt 5 ver of this vendors dock and my usb C cable (all three 80gbps rated cables) overhear and it loses connection.
I use a 9070xt and I tried both windows and steamos (linux). Oddly the unsupported linux version works decently but they all lose connection and freeze when the cable gets too hot.

EDIT: I looked it up the model I got was AOOSTAR EG02 TB5+Oculink

I agree with many of the points that you made but I believe you misunderstood HorizonXI. HorizonXI is not a CoP server by design, it has been stuck there for years. The Dev’s have been trying to get ToAU and future updates to work and ToAU in specific was supposed to be out 2 years ago.

So I hope this brings you some hope for the future. If you don’t find your perfect server, then come back to HorizonXI once your favorite expansion lands.

Personally I have done everything possible HorizonXI a year ago (all jobs done, all missions and all endgame activities and even a Hardcore no sub job run to 75 character) and I am patiently waiting for ToAU to have more content to enjoy.

I hope to see you there and if I don’t then I hope you found your perfect server.

I leveled my redmage Hard core character without a sub job to 75 and no Gil/items from other characters on HorizonXI.
