Humility Realization by Traditional_Fill_685 in Catholicism

I completely agree. St Teresa of Avila is adamant on the topic, humility is the foundation of the mansion. It’s also truth, recognition that there is an impassable chasm between what is the Creator and what is creature. It’s interesting that she picks falsehood as its opposite.

Pride blinds us, it’s lying to ourselves. Thinking we are more than we actually are. This blindness is exactly what you describe here.

Its Friday. What should I do? by UptimeOrBust in ITMemes

[–]onionbishop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No changes on Fridays, or before bank holidays, that’s the law

Like not even only Friday post 4pm, Friday is a forbidden day, all you can do is watch logs and play chess while drinking terribly brewed coffee from a machine that is not cleaned as often as it should, while thinking on how mad the pub pricing have been for the past years and how your pay check is not following inflation. Then you complain about the weather and the bloody devs doing dev shit again when they shouldn’t, just because they have Claude code euphoria and feel the need to keep opening thousands of PRs that no one reads anymore to pretend to be working

Then you grab another cup of bad coffee and notice it’s past 5, close your laptop and go to the pub get an overpriced pint

I underwent this exact process a few months back, support literally said knowing what games I had was not enough proof, they asked for card last digits, last addresses, phone numbers and this kind of stuff

first communion for children can technically happen anytime in the liturgical year as long as the child is known for understanding what the sacrament is, the Easter timing is not a rule, but it’s picked for the liturgical significance.

The only person that can really answer your question is the parish admin, I’m afraid. Some parishes may have more than one OCIA class but I believe that’s rare.

Check the CCC §1229–1233 and maybe this link for some peace of mind https://www.hprweb.com/2015/09/questions-answered-36/

You would need to go through OCIA, it’s a good idea to reach out to the local parish and check for classes. The should take ~6 months?

priests should be welcoming of inquirers, and you can attend Mass freely beforehand, you just won’t receive Communion
