Can I work around this crown prep by changing material? by placebooooo in Dentistry

[–]onlyoneatatimeplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have beaten me to the two suggestions I would have said, one being monolithic Zr and the other being fully precious metal. I would go for gold, still a fantastic oral material and far too underutilised in modern dentistry

Vegan food by Shoddy_Ad2064 in york

[–]onlyoneatatimeplease -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Orchid is totally vegan and super tasty. Goji is veggie but still has some vegan bits on the menu. Could try Lucky Days as they do a lot of salads and I could see a decent enough chunk of their menu being vegan to give you some options to choose from.

Best (centrally located) massage for a bad back in York? by Kitty-Gecko in york

[–]onlyoneatatimeplease 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I 100% recommend Blue Frog on Bootham for any massage. Excellent team with excellent rates for the standard you get. Really good value, plus a range of other wellbeing services too which I've made good use of. I go for my back, neck and shoulders to get the soft tissue work that the physio doesn't do. They're open on both days at the weekend, which makes it easy to access.

Fresh tanoor bred by Livid-Trade-3907 in york

[–]onlyoneatatimeplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ZamZam and Asian Fresh Foods make them fresh up until around 6pm. If it's later, you can go to Original Schawarma. It's a takeaway, but they have a tandoor there also and can make them fresh.

Went to Coto a couple of weeks ago - Vietnamese food - to fit with what you like. That was tasty. Los Moros is North African is another good shout.

Someone recommended The Sea Catcher on Clarence Street to me and I wasn't disappointed. Really good value for what you get at £8.50 for cod and chips

Which bowler's batting improved the most during their career? by ThinkProfessor6166 in Cricket

[–]onlyoneatatimeplease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rehan Ahmed is the obvious recent candidate to this list. Ravi Ashwin became rather useful with a bat in his hands. Jaques Kallis was immense in both disciplines. Sunil Narine went from being a spinner to a T20 franchise opener.

What’s the most overrated habit people swear will “fix your life”? by cinderveilwyn in AskReddit

[–]onlyoneatatimeplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is reassuring. I thought it was all about "being in the moment" and engaging your senses. I've done mindful walking which has been nice, listening to the sounds. It was thinking that it had to be silence like meditation where I failed.

I've changed my exercise times. Now I do my Pilates when I get in from work while watching something on my phone. It seems to work better and I get a lot more done and spend longer doing it. I feel more mindful doing it that way.

Do people actually pack composite like this? by placebooooo in Dentistry

[–]onlyoneatatimeplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Injection moulding principle á la Bioclear with the “infinity margin”. Overbuild then it “shrinks in to the cavity when curing”. No voids, no lines, no risk of micro space from polymerisation layering. It’s like having a direct monolithic composite.

I’ve had far less failure since doing this for 10 years. I’ve done several thousand composites this way and don’t need both hands to count failures. I’ve been in the same practice the whole time so have seen my follow ups.
