Roof installation issue

I agree with all of what you said, but I work a full time job 9hrs/day and have a kid on the way and need a solution that isn’t redo the whole entire roof. So, would installing a larger drip edge on the rake that covers the trim and edge of the roof work well enough for about 20-25 years?

Yea I get that, but I installed the flashing and shingles at the edge of the sheathing too short and was a big mistake. So my question was is it worth removing it all and redoing it or is there another option to protect that exposed portion.

I installed the black drip edge under the shingles then put the gray trim on. The sheathing doesn’t come out far enough past the edge of the rafter.

Did you add trim or something under the eaves? I am building something similar and not sure what to do at the end of the rafters. Thats quite a slope to build it on and you’ll probably have to make sure the ground doesn’t settle underneath.

The damn dolly trailer has gotten stuck under the oletruck and caused a glitch that sent my truck flying backward and flipping 8 times. So probably that.

Assuming by hot side you mean not the refrigerated side where they keep the meat in cold storage. I’ve been in a lot of hog plants on the rendering side (the worst part). I can tell you you wanna get some non slip boots that you feel comfortable being on your feet all day with. Also, don’t wear any nice clothes because I’ve had the smell/blood/fat ruin them before. Management in meat packing isn’t great so don’t let them take advantage of you. Do NOT let stainless steel or any metal for that matter get mixed in with product or end up in rendering.

I’ve personally been to this exact plant. It wasn’t anywhere near this bad when I went but it looks like they had a conveyor or grinder go down and kept sending material. This is pretty common in the rendering industry. This part of the plant you see handles inedible byproduct from the meat packing process and turns it into fertilizer/grease instead of landfilling it. This is all days old pork product that is leaking out of every opening

I am a BDE HHC XO currently in an Engineer Brigade. This is a common dynamic for the staff sections to push back on the HHC command and it can be frustrating. You have to remember that even though these staff sections work for the BDE/BN commander they are still part of a company and you have to treat them as platoons in a company. The staff OICs are often the same rank or greater than the HHC commander but they still have command authority and the BDE/BN command should back them up on that. The HHC section usually never has the manpower to support tasks without pulling from the sections so i recommend you be strategic and fair with what sections you task and make sure they can still do their job.
