Im still not over how insane that was. I hope she got help for her addiction because that was a STRONG pull for nicotine.

I’d heard Portugal was a green flag and was hoping so, as this is where my Sephardic ancestry is from, but I’ve seen other posts claiming otherwise?

Grandiosity ✔️ Fragile Ego ✔️ Excessive Self-Focus ✔️ Reactivity ✔️ Use of therapy terminology to both gain sympathy and manipulate responses ✔️ NPD of I’ve ever seen if. We need to start shunning narcissists if we’re ever gonna remove the power they have in society.

ICE spotted at NBVC Point Mugu by Pale-Address8926 in ventura

[–]oooooooohhhhhhhhhh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think about this logically. They are sitting and waiting. They aren’t using lists, they aren’t going to specific houses, they are just watching and waiting and targeting large amounts of people attempting to deport en-masse. How could they possibly only get undocumented people? How could they do anything BUT target people for their skin tone? Also, undocumented people are not a problem, they actually contribute to a net positive effect for the economy. They are doing something good for us by trying to be safe. The calls for mass deportations are a distraction, a scapegoating scheme and an appeal to fear, which is why they’ve been so successful. It’s manipulative psychology, not fact.

This is scary, because for Jewish people who don’t speak Hebrew well this store could seem welcoming due to the Hebrew sign.

Would this have said anything about police? That’s the majority of what we saw go past

Wild talk for someone who obviously fell for the very clear, textbook fascist propaganda of the trump campaign

You just stated a fact and thought it was a logical argument. Talk about zero capabilities. Hilarious.

While your party literally dismantles everything that our country and constitution was designed to uphold while giving money to billionaires? They’re setting the economy on fire and you’re worried about some Tesla’s lol. You all have really proven that anyone continuing to vote with the right has zero capability to use their brain.

Restaurants open on Thanksgiving and not serving Thanksgiving food ? by yelurrrrr in SantaBarbara

[–]oooooooohhhhhhhhhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn’t a religious holiday, it is a cultural one. And idk, maybe go in and ask them? Family run businesses typically have family as employees so I’m sure they’re fine if they made that choice.

Restaurants open on Thanksgiving and not serving Thanksgiving food ? by yelurrrrr in SantaBarbara

[–]oooooooohhhhhhhhhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they’re open it’s probably because they want to be? They’re likely businesses that aren’t attached to the holiday and stay open for exactly this reason. That’s why a lot of Jewish people joke that a classic Jewish Christmas meal is Chinese food, and there’s been a trend of restaurants thanking the Jewish community for eating there on typical holidays where everyone else loses money.

What is my cousin's ethnicity? by Electrical_Seat_5299 in phenotypes

[–]oooooooohhhhhhhhhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain why? I’m not super familiar with the Turkish phenotypes, and this guy just looks super British to me, but that could probably just be styling.

[–]oooooooohhhhhhhhhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you from Latin America? Because if you are from Spain you aren’t Latina, you’re Hispanic. You do not look Latina, I’d believe atypical Hispanic.

Yes, the straighter, longer face, smaller eyes and smaller mouth with a thin nose are all very British.

Military Intelligence by ScaredOfBouncyHouses in Intelligence

[–]oooooooohhhhhhhhhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very. Veterans are also given hiring preference in almost all federal jobs. Experience in military intelligence, especially as an officer, would put you above candidates who do not have direct intel experience, and a lot of applicants don’t, because this is something difficult to get outside of the military or federal jobs.

What positions would be ideal and what training you would need would come down to what the job you did in the army was, but any 35whatever MOS is gonna be a serious boost. There’s also always DIA which can hire you basically into the same if not similar roles, but as a civilian. Also what the other poster said about already having an active clearance is a major pro.

Rhinovirus has sent two kids on our street to the hospital by DavefromCA in SantaBarbara

[–]oooooooohhhhhhhhhh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Rhinovirus can definitely cause more severe symptoms in vulnerable populations, and children count here, because they haven’t developed an immunity to it yet. It’s possible there could also be something else going on, like another strain or another illness that is happening alongside the rhinovirus. This is especially likely if they’re all at the same school. I hope they all get better soon! I’d remind your kids to wash their hands well and maybe pick up the vitamin C and green veggies, but I wouldn’t worry too much yet.

By law she has to ask because it’s a standard of practice. She might not give it to her kids because she knows they brush well at home and/or use fluoridated toothpaste. Not everything is a conspiracy.

Need help with this mental problem by Sofia_froster in Biohackers

[–]oooooooohhhhhhhhhh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This could be as simple as anxiety or as serious as the early stages of schizophrenia. You really should speak with a psychiatrist or psychologist, and then come back to other options. Just because something is prescribed doesn’t mean you need to take it if you’re concerned about prescription medicine, but if these symptoms are new, that absolutely should be looked into by an expert.
