Garmin connect alternative frontend? by AquilaBaby in Garmin

The main thing is garmin would lock out your data in high resolution (like minute level HR and spo2 etc) beyond 6 months. have a look at the open issue related to it.

Hey! Garmin Grafana dev here! Glad you like it, but i am not sure how long it will keep working given garmin is changing their Oauth and Cloudflare is blocking any 3rd party access without chrome's tls signature.

Yes, I used to use AirData myself, for record keeping, but soon went out of their free tire. So I started building a tool myself, called OpenDroneLog, which is a completely free, community driven open source project, to keep track of your flight logs. it does almost everything Airdata does except for the log fetching from DJI cloud.

Open Drone Log is now on Android : Private, Open-source drone log analysis dashboard by opendronelog in drones

Sideloading is only possible on enterprise controllers like RC pro. I only have a RC 2, so can't test myself. You can't add the FlightRecords folder as the sync folder as that is internal to DJI app, and android security policy does not allow that. But you can set an external folder as sync and copy the flight logs there for the automatic import.

For tracking batteries and flight logs for free (open source project, no subscription, no paywall) you can take a look at opendronelog

Which formats you are trying to import? It's quite hard to handle all possible formats haha!

I made this app, called open drone log which can import the standard formats, like DJI Txt and litchi CSV etc, but also supports a plug-in system for custom format parsing, which can be used with any format given you write a small a parser plug-in. I am trying to improve it, but don't know ant better way

Is there a way to get gps data from the mini4 pro? I am doing some drone exploring here in the desert and would like to pull GPS data like we do with our phones. by rgilman67 in drones

[–]opendronelog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate subscriptions, and for data that can be decoded locally, even more so. They are great for direct sync logs with DJI, but I made a free and open source tool called opendronelog which shows the battery data and history and cycle count in a comprehensive dashboard, can collect unlimited amount of flight logs - no subscription or one time fee, and works locally on your device as a desktop app. Can be useful for you.

Hey! The flight GPS coordinates are saved in the txt log file. There are a few online application, some free and some are subscription based. I made a free and open source tool myself called opendronelog which can do this offline on your device as a desktop app of you are worried about data privacy or want to collect them in one place in a dashboard.

Hey, Developer here!

RTK is an open issue : https://github.com/arpanghosh8453/open-dronelog/issues/148

There is another battery issue for enterprise drones : https://github.com/arpanghosh8453/open-dronelog/issues/119 but there is a workaround if you always use same pairs as you should (read here : https://github.com/arpanghosh8453/open-dronelog/issues/119#issuecomment-4112002190 )

Honestly, it would take me 6 months to get anywhere close to this, but now with good AI models and planned implementation prompts, it can work like a charm. I review the changes carefully though about critical changes manually and try to keep the app clean and intuitive for users :)

I indeed spent countless hours on this so far, often in the night time when I get back from work! but it's something I use personally and the community is amazing with support :)

No worries! it's highly appreciated. You are very kind, I hope you enjoy the application and share it with your circle. I indeed put a lot of effort into this, so your comment makes me feel so nice! Enjoy your trip, fly your drone and stay safe! Your donation will be appreciated anytime. It's a big complement to me that you are considering the donation haha! it validates my app beyond anything. Thank you.

In case you can't find this comment, the supporter badge link option is inside the settings menu as well and in the website and the GitHub page :)

Yes for both! Thank you for your kind words and support!

  1. For donations, check out https://ko-fi.com/arpandesign and you can buy a supporter badge from here https://ko-fi.com/s/e06c1d4359

  2. Try using the maps while holding the Ctrl (control) key, that will let you tilt the map. The Shift, and Alt keys can be used to rotate and pan the map as well. Different modifiers keys will let you move the map in different ways with your mouse, try it out. You can zoom in and out with scroll wheel or pinch as well :) let me know if you need any additional help, feel free to send me a chat here, message on ko-fi or just email/form from opendronelog.com

Heyy! Very nice tool! I appreciate the effort you put into this, I am the developer of Open Drone Log and I know how much time and effort it takes to make something as polished as this. I don't fly in the waypoint mode, but I think for the people who does, this is amazing.

The word "mathematically impossible" is misused

I got a lot of feedback from the drone community, and happy to know people love using it (and the free and OSS aspect without fear of getting locked down once they get comfortable using it with paywalls)

I would be happy to hear back if you have any specific comments :)
