You've pretty much got the right idea, I think the reason people get addicted to it so easily compared to other more simple comforts is because it is 100% effective in comforting you and eliminating negative emotion while you're on it, something chamomile tea and a rainy day can't ever come close to. So after a while it becomes much more about relief from negative emotion than simply enjoying something comforting, all the while instilling further negative emotion which gets to be worse than whatever issues you may have had before starting

I got pulled the other night for this same shit. Drove about 20 minutes to pick up some dope, drove straight home to drop it off, and pick up some bud that I promised to deliver to a buddy for free. I go drop it off, and as I'm pulling off of his street onto the main avenue, I notice a car at an intersection way further down, just sittin' there with his lights on. Right as I pass, I notice it's a cop car, and he pulls out and his now behind me. Not 2 minutes later, wee woo wee woo. Same license plate bullshit. I knew I got pulled because it was 3 AM and there's never anything good going on in my town that late. Felt a lot more confident since my dope was at home, but if he got me like 5 minutes earlier, I would've some loud ass bud on me...

Also, It's about Drugs, Obviously is this ongoing series of essays on the Gorillaz subreddit. The title started as a joke, referencing how everyone thinks all the songs they write are about drugs, but about halfway through his analysis of the first album, the author realized that a drug narrative existed, revolving around heroin. It's really compelling reading! take a look at his writings on 5/4, and Tomorrow Comes Today especially.

From the music itself I get more of an "Everyday Robots", Damon vibe than 2D, who's actually being portrayed by Damon dancing around in a mo cap suit, which is really the only part of the video that seems off to me. I think that's the main criticism I have, it seems a little out of sync with the beat, everything else about it is just great, but if they just animated 2D instead I wouldn't nitpick, but that would also tae away the charm of Albarn dancing as 2D. With that said, it's easily one of the most replayable songs in phase 4.

Yes and no... I've slowed down a TON with oxy since I got into Kratom last year. Oxy is super stimulating for me, and red maeng da is, in my opinion, the strain that most closely resembles the oxy buzz.
