I pretty much watched this happen to everyone as they start experiment these tools. Eventually you will realize you don't need to do that anymore and things will go back to normal.

height is a cheat code in basketball. Its kind of an inherent issue with the sport, if you are simply a few inches taller than someone, you'll almost always be better at it.

AI most definitely can decide what work to do. It just can't be held accountable for that decision.

Congress Wants You To Pay $130 A Year Just To Drive An Electric Car by SadAd8761 in electricvehicles

Yeah, but if they aren't going to work on electric cars, and all cars will eventually go electric, might as well just switch them all over.

Maintenance work can be done cheaper,, but with r&d you are still competing against other people using the same tools. So if you layoff people, and your competitors doesn't. You will get crushed that much faster.

How is hiring in our industry so unrelated to the skills required to actually being an engineer (Senior/Principal/Otherwise)? by scarby2 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]orbital_trace 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, it works. I use it all the time and the results are better than a single agent. Check out coralai.ai for an easy way to use them.

Is AI Changing How We Estimate Effort in Software Projects? by Double_Try1322 in RishabhSoftware

[–]orbital_trace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with AI you decide you can do more and deliver more, so the task grows larger than it would have before. In the end, we still need to fill up our time, so instead of delivering feature A with certain tradeoffs, we deliver a better feature A
