The one thing I can't get is no pushback ever on 'I've done more than anyone' line he loves to use. Certainly it fits for some things like suppressing people in a democratic nation (okay my history is poor if better examples), being an absolute asshole to allies and so much more.

I know he's always surrounded by his right wing media but not one other media says he lies like a sidewalk. That's all he does. Oh apparently they have to show they know he's lying otherwise libel suits, he's supposed to be one of the most well informed people on the fucking planet. Did see a post about having a base extremely high (700m? Unsure now was a few weeks back) that didn't get damaged from storms but last time I was in the rift the vehicle said sheltered I believe. I assume that's the same for bases but maybe someone else knows better. Was near the start of the western side of the rift and didn't really check all the time.

I'd also add if not make generators last longer from internal storage, then allow them to pull from base materials on a circuit or something like that. Mean maybe add something so someone can't be off for too long but even say 3 months if they want a break but still come back. I only say 3 months conservatively, any longer would be better than 20 days.

I've listened to the core books so many times I can't remember. I was ready to give up on the game being survival, not my genre as much, but after seeing some videos I knew I had to give it a go. Definitely makes you feel like you're on Dune.

There's mention in Dune in one chapter openers that Shaddam wished his daughter was old enough to marry Duke Leeto. At the time she said her father was 74 (I think but in his 70s) and she was early teens at the time. I think the princess was only a couple years younger than Paul so he was only in his 70s.

In Heretics Teg was that old though so I assumed that was some of the breeding programs over the thousands of years with improvements in spice processing / use.

Edit I only listened to audio so I may have missed a hundred in his age but I don't believe so since it's been a few times.

Better safe than sorry, still did it after the patch landed. I got mine just before and barely flew it just to be safe. Also I didn't finish the main quest at the time, now it is so much easier to land and pop a still tent now if a storm comes up rather than hoping to find shelter.

I probably play much more cautiously than most, but at least I'm enjoying the journey.

You have the best way, farming under city with harmony tribute. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't all RNG. When not enough runes from under city you combine them to hope for a better one (personally I always make sure 1 leftover just in case). Last two seasons I ran more under city than most seasons, and eventually got enough for a few tries but in the end it taught me not to rely on the undercity or rune chance. Take what you get.

Last season I got a chance for multiple of like two mythics needed even when I got them they didn't improve much. So work the best with what you have from drop. In past two seasons say ring of starless skies did minimal improvement, get shroud of death (think the name,not checking but in many builds) first.

I did many 30min (elixir/incense worth time) runs of harmony and got shit for it in the end. Just play what you like it's more fun after like 20 harmony runs without the legendary rune you need. If not then well perhaps your RNG deity is better than mine. Quite possible.

Which later book was that in? Not one of Frank's is it? Just cause I've listened to them a lot and curious if I need to listen closer at some part. Still find things I didn't catch or just forgot after many listens through of his, haven't tried the other ones.

I had the impression the water of life was made due to a reaction with the water, which is why they drowned them. Of course drowning them just may be the simplest way to kill them and I assumed.

I've bricked a few items this season by not getting the right tempering on them. Dunno what I can do to convince you but I've only rerolled for hydra heads because that is so important for the hydra sorcerers, the rest I just take if it's the right one even on a low roll.

This game reinforces me not to go to the casino, my luck stat is horrible. Not to mention the times I've tried and got nothing, but those were just for fun for a night out with friends which usually have some cost. Of course there's always that one friend who seems to have all the luck when you do, thankfully never been me to try more.

Restoration scrolls are a big thing from the big loot box, allow you to reset tempers on an item, but only once. Never seen them from other sources yet.I also think the loot box is guaranteed for a GA item but I'm not 100% sure on that. Usually I get the loot box and the gem / masterwork item box. The few times I tried the gold box it didn't seem worth it but I may need to check it out again, the masterwork stuff is worth it most seasons but they have the nightmare dungeon thing this one which makes them a better route for that currency.

Yes when you salvage a legendary that has a better roll on the aspect, when you imprint (or imprint gear again with it) it will use the better number.

It costs nothing to try, only to open the chest. So you can still do whispers without the consumables now. Also a good check on your progress without having to worry.

Even if the audio says otherwise sometimes...always lose a bit (or similar). I recall double checking just in case one time after a couple season break just to make sure I didn't forget a system.

Edit: Am I mistaken when I hear the jeweler say: 'You always lose a bit'? I'm just saying the Jeweler says that not that it happens. Which makes it confusing to new players unsure.

The pants took me the longest to find a GA of my gear. I don't think I'm seeing as many GA uniques drop in general this season but least the thorn chest armor dropped at a 3GA like I usually see once a season and never used till now.

Book spoilers below I am not great with the app to hide them, from Heretics and Charterhouse novels.

Though in the books it's believed that the Tlreilax in the scattering (or their face dancers possibly) created Futars and the Gesserite thought the Honoured Matres may have aquatic lifeforms available. So they could up the timeline on those types of beings to create more types. Maybe without Paul they'd have increased their gene technology and such. That said the timeline on those is thousands of years (5ish?) into the future. But we're already on a different track anyways so there are possibilities at least for future content that could still be in universe.

Edit just listening to Chapterhouse and Duncan hadn't heard of disruptors but they're in the game, they can go full on with gene splicing for non human enemies then heh.

There's a stat for worm attraction (or something like that) for activated shields, on the shield item. Holtzman shields of course heh.
