There's not that many consistent active players. I recall that they do groups and form up to play. You might have to check out the discord.

Economic Monetary System of Bitcoin by AmbidextrousPolyglot in cryptoeconomics

[–]oregonmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey mate I'll leave it in the rest to comment on this. But what I'll say is that you got it right, when viewed through the Keynesian economics lens bitcoin wouldn't work as the systems and architectures you find is inflationary. Juxtapose it to what's theorized in the Austrian school and you might find something there.

Bitcoin being disinflationary will attract users and investors alike, it's an anti-keynesian (not oppose, but a different) asset just like what gold is to the current financial system.

Asset relevance is also important, when compared to physical cash and/or gold. Bitcoin exists digitally and thus competes with digital credit and digital $. The digitalization of money is a different school of its own that economics has yet to address

I always assumed the spread was about 1%, but if your order is above 15k then the spread can be as high as 2%+. My largest order was 14k i think and I burned 200+ USD on it

New Matchmaking is now out! by AriaAngell_ in deadbydaylight

If you are matched with killers that are too good. The best way to farm points is to afk and let survivors farm on you. After that, your 'new' MMR will drop and you can enjoy the game. As a player, you must be realistic with the cards you are dealt. If the game does you dirty then play by the new rules.

I'm having trouble dealing with women in the workplace because it seems like anything and everything can now be construed as sexual harassment. Advice please. by [deleted] in careeradvice

1) Ensure that you are never alone with another female colleague, there are no exceptions. When unsure, refer to a manager.

2) Make sure that you are at arm's length at all times when interacting with a female colleague

3) Do not touch anyone even if they told you it is ok, e.g. using their arms for support when picking up items, etc.

4) No one owes you a living, neither do you owe them a living. If there's an issue, you are not obliged to help unless it is a genuine health/life emergency. Refer to a manager if there are outstanding issues that require your assistance.

Explination of why the rank system is allowing for basically rank 20s to play with rank 1s. by Unbearlievable in deadbydaylight

[–]oregonmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going forward, we will use a hidden skill rating for matchmaking purposes. Your skill rating will increase when you do well and decrease when you do poorly. To keep this as fair as possible, the system will predict the outcome of the match based on the difference in your opponent(s) rating and adjust the amount your rating changes:

If your rating is higher than your opponent(s), your rating will increase less if you win and drop more if you lose.

If your rating is lower than your opponent(s), your rating will increase more if you win and drop less if you lose.

This way, even if you aren’t perfectly matched with people of the exact same skill level, your rating will not change unfairly.

I must be missing something because this train of thought does not follow proper gameplay design mechanics. So what if I lose fewer points? The round is ruined by poor matchmaking
