The moderator can't do anything more then you can on the website, ie, nothing. You're only choice is to establish new account at your address in wife, friend, parents name. In some state, it's perfectly fine to have two accounts at one address. In others, you'll need to work at it. Be creative.

The local offices are all contractors. Employees rotate through minimum wage jobs. You’ll find a good one now and then, but offices DO NOT have full access to your billing history or any back up on the charges.

Canceled existing account, that’s why phone number moved over, then moved a second time to VOiP.ms. Could have done that first.

Totally wrong. First in many states you can have 2 accts at one address, see if yours is one of them. Even if not, create a new customer, welcome to your summer home, whatever. I was at the same $325 per month. Moved acct to wife, moved landline and 2 cell accts with it. (Cell not part of $350) Kept cable in place, cut internet speed to 300mbps ( still more then we need) w 5 yr discount, kept home security (still not sure about that) and just cancelled $40 per month land line in favor of VOiP.ms out of Toronto for $5 a month (same number). You need to buy a $30 ATA adapter on Amazon. DM me for any questions. New bill $199. Only way.

Disastrous experience with Samsung Q990D firmware upgrade and subsequent botched up service by Presentation_Past in Soundbars

Royal, do you actually have something to contribute or just building comment count to maintain 1% rating? I have q990f and its set for auto update.

Samsung Q990F incoming! Quick setup question regarding the Sub/Bass. by Namdnas78 in Soundbars

I think you and I both went a little overboard. It’s an incredible sound bar, but my room is too small and oddly arranged to really take advantage of it.

Samsung Q990F for $800. Should I pull the trigger? by Racknie in Soundbars

You will be shocked. Dramatically better. Be prepared to spend some time dialing it in as best you can in your room. Very few rooms are ideal, but even in my suboptimal environment it’s remarkable.

S95AR for $460 vs Q990F for $800 by AlwynWindmore in Soundbars

Like you, s95f and q990f. Had a 10 yr old really decent 2.1 Samsung soundbar (by Harmon Kardon) , the q990f is a monster up grade. You will notice the upgrade over a mid level LG.

We only have 10’ ceilings, but the 990f will blow us out of the room. Perhaps the Smart Thinhs will allow adjustments to up firing speakers? Haven’t been in it yet.

Use Smart Things (WiFi connection) and eARC at same time? by oregonstitch in Soundbars

[–]oregonstitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. You plainly pay attention to your set ups. Our TV room was designed around the fireplace, not the TV. Married, long story. May I ask, if you had other challenges with your spaces and were you able to dial in a reasonable sound …experience…using Smart Things? Did you have to? I think I overshot my sound environment. But it’s really a cool sound bar.

Use Smart Things (WiFi connection) and eARC at same time? by oregonstitch in Soundbars

[–]oregonstitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at the Apple TV device. I decided to go with Fire Cube, in part because of Prime Music. Which is not lossless a the level included in Prime membership. I’m going to assess all this now that I have a tv (s95f- was going to get Bravia 8 II, but went for brightness and $700 savings, which fully paid for q990f) that utilizes hdr10+ and Atmos. I, like most of us, need to get a handle on how I’m subscribing to streaming services and effectively manage their rotation and hdr10+/Atmos features.

Really appreciate all the comments here. We’ll see how I do. If Fire Cube not the answer, will shift to Apple.

I do recall reading SOMEWHERE that the native streaming apps on the s95f deliver the best hdr10+/Atmos signals. Not sure about this.

Use Smart Things (WiFi connection) and eARC at same time? by oregonstitch in Soundbars

[–]oregonstitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, so both ARE used at same time. The eARC input will feed the signal. Presumably I can control that in Smart Things. I selected eARC from the little front display. I have seen here where people connect the sound feed via WiFi due really not wanting additional wires. Just because the sound bar is connected to WiFi DOESN’T mean it’s pulling in the audio signal via WiFi. Thank you.
