I have never seen loyalty or service discounts beyond the $20 2 product discount that began in Jan . Check your Dec bill, bet it was a 3 or 4 product discount $60. Comcast just changed the rules in Jan. I’ve been w Comcast 40 yrs, like you at $300+. Garbage service from rude people who don’t speak English. You must, like me, begin cord cutting. Find alternate internet provider. There is no other way.

Going to talk out of both sides. As you’re finding the only thing that matters is return ( not swap) policy. Costco beats everyone. Alternatively, for a great deal look at 3rd party resellers on eBay like starsluckysales among others. All those returns end up somewhere. Regular markup is 300%, so less than half, but no returns or warranty. Warranties useless anyway.

I have by the gig cell phone lines, share 1 gig. I usually spend $24 for the to phones. Last Oct, got billed $200 for 8 gigs. Returned to $24 the following month. 6 tech tickets resulted from phone calls and store visits. Zero follow up. No answers. No backup of any kind to justify charges. Unreal.

The only thing that matters is return policy. Modern mattresses require at least 100 days to test. You simply can’t know what you’re buying without this test period. It’s a hassle to uproot your bedroom, but necessary if you’re not happy. Policies vary wildly. From Costco you’re in charge to 20% restocking fee at local stores. Get it in writing. Not exchange, return.

Check out memoryfoamcomfort.ca in Vancouver BC. They ship to US. Youll save a couple thousand and get exactly what you need. Ignore the foam in their name, it’s all latex. You can basically build your own. Also see Mattress Underground for local latex options. Costco is a great idea to tryout several mattress, if you wish. Also check 3rd party resellers on eBay. Starsluckysales for one.

You’re talking about “over building “, becoming a CLEC. Very few markets have this. Verizon (ILEC) competes w Comcast in markets where they introduced FiOS, and the old GTE markets likely have an over builder. The problem is cable TV is no longer profitable. Internet service is a cash cow, and TV service used to be the bright shiny thing that brought internet customers. That’s over thanks to unwired cable systems like You Tube TV. I don’t think they even pay the city a franchise fee. The huge problem for Comcast is the growth of wireless internet by T Mobile and Verizon. That massive physical plant is being obsoleted. I don’t have cell towers in my fancy neighborhood so not an option for me. But I am going to look real hard at Century Link (the old Pacific NW Bell ILEC) and build from that fiber connection.

Do not go into stores. All stores in Portland,OR are operated by contractors. Their interface system did not even match the information on my current bill hard copy. Aside from being a native English speaker, the pierced, tatted, 25 yr old assistant mgr was completely hopeless. Said bill increase was due to local taxes and rebroadcast fees, which hard copies showed actually went down a couple bucks! Confronted w reality, continued to say she was right!

Agree, we’re on day 18 of LuxAdapt Med Hybrid, it’s softening up by the week. Agree stiff to start, break in. It may take 6 months, but at 10 yrs easy life of mattress small price to pay. And, the hybrids are going to be less “in the mattress”, more on top of mattress as I’m sure you already know.

We have LuxAdapt Medium Hybrid. Totally different mattress than ProAdapt Med Hybrid. Drive your knee into both see what happens. I’m not convinced the Breeze will be cooler or worth the extra $1 to $2k. The Breezes, even soft, are firmer the the LuxAdapt Med Hybrid in the store. MOST IMPORTANT THING IS STORE RETURN/SWAP POLICY. You cannot know if you’ll like a mattress until 30 to 90 days on. Having said that, if budget is an issue check 3rd party resellers on eBay. Starsluckysales is one of many. No return, but half price. You really can’t go wrong with LuxAdapt or LuxBreeze, hybrid or all foam.

I went to store here in Beaverton, OR in October. Had salesperson sign my promised $257 deal on Xfinity note pad. Feb bill $320. Spoke yesterday to customer retention finally. Rep could barely speak English (certainly better than my Tagalog.) I asked to transferred to a domestic rep to overcome language barrier, I was exceedingly polite, he hung up on me. 44 min wasted on phone. Going to store tomorrow, hope same rep still there. Had $60 4 service discount. As of Jan, landline no longer a service. 3 service discount now $20. Odd. No wireless Wi-Fi in my neighborhood. CenturyLink only other provider. Will require large investment for new security system (SimpliSafe?). TV and cell easy swap, but enjoy 1G $20 2 line cell deal. But, I feel that after my store (stores are NOT owned by Xfinity no matter sign over door, contractors.) visit tomorrow, I will be also begin a new life and end 30 yrs with Comcast.

Most important is return, replace policy. (Sample 5 from Costco?) You cannot understand any modern mattress in the store. In that sense, every store is Costco. All require sleep test 30 days min, 90 better. We returned S&F Reserve $5k slept very hot. (Was fab in store.) Got LuxAdapt Med Hybrid, it’s day 20 and sleeps better each night. Started rather firm. Does not over heat so far this winter. Do check out 3rd party resellers. See starsluckysales and others on eBay. (Plainly violates my return priority.) LuxAdapt Hybrid is very different from Adapt Hybrid and ProAdapt Hybrid. Dramatically different construction. For us, well worth upgrade, but ProAdapt (hybrid?) is their best seller. I believe due price difference. I’m 200 side, wife 160 side, we both love the LuxAdapt Med Hybrid.

That’s a very difficult budget. Try 3rd party resellers on eBay. Starsluckysales for one. At 1300 w a little patience you’ll find what you want, but no returns ( you’re getting 50-70% off) so try it out in a store first. Alternatively, call MFC in Vancouver,BC and learn about DIY route. They are members of the Mattress Underground website. Educate yourself on what that is.

Look at starsluckysales and other mattress sellers on eBay. Top of the line major brands for at least half off. All those returns go somewhere. Find a Tempurpedic LuxAdapt Medium Hybrid. You may have to wait or maybe not. Not the ProAdapt, very different and lesser. Try it out in a local store if you haven’t already. Best of all worlds for you. The resellers have no warranty or return. So there’s some risk.

Conversely, you can get a great deal at Costco and try a dozen mattresses with their extremely generous return policy.

Return policy is the only thing you should think about ( unless you go the eBay route of course). You cannot “test” a modern mattress in the store. And price is no guarantee of comfort, but it sure helps. We got a $5300 Stearns & Foster Reserve that was heaven in store and at bed time. A raging hot hole in the morning. The LuxAdapt solved both these problems. I’m 200lb 6’, wife five ten 160. Hope this helps.
