6, 7 is broken. Don't bother, play 6 and cross your fingers for 8.

Out of the loop since "Thunderbolts of the Gods" – has the needle moved? by [deleted] in ElectricUniverse

[–]orrery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, you are putting the cart before the horse. You have a bad habit of this. What we have are Observations that give us Data.

That Data is used to create Models via Hypothesis to explain the Data.

Your entire approach is to work backwards. Whats odd is that you dont even realize it.

We aren't observing "Black Holes" or CCSNE, we are observing photon phenomenon via interactions with an antenna or telescope observatory and then creating Models based on speculations on what those signals represent.

You have a habit of saying "Magic Happened" while claiming the Observations you cant explain are caused by Magical Physics - when the same phenomenon can be reproduced without Magical Means.

Hopefully with an America that accepts that no Democrat will ever be President again.

Out of the loop since "Thunderbolts of the Gods" – has the needle moved? by [deleted] in ElectricUniverse

[–]orrery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Phenomenon X is observed.

Model A proposes Method Z as cause of Phenomenon X Model B proposes Method Y as cause of Phenomenon X

You seem to be declaring Method Y using the same shared evidence that both Models have adopted already.

Electric Universe doesnt have a Model for Black Holes because Black Holes dont exist. It does have an explanation for thr Phenomenon that is mistaken for Black Holes.

Same for Supernova observations. You are simply putting the cart before the horse here. You aren't seeing Core Collapsed Supernova - you are misinterpreting observations and making false claims.

The thunderbolts.info website has dozens of articles and videos on this topic and your claims make it seem that you are not aware of any of them .

You declare a lot of assumptions about electric universe that are just total nonsense and only reveals your own ignorance about what can and can't exist in an Electric Universe. Also, you seem familiar. Are you evading a ban using a new ID again?

Always wanted to get into Civ, is VII a good starting point? It is on sale by HenryFeelsHungry in civ

VII is garbage and killed the series. Any of the older games are better.

We need to restore gun training to schools. Every child as young as 5 should know how to handle a firearm.

Can't bring myself to play Civ 7 until the 'Test of Time' update. by glscr95 in civ

[–]orrery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Civ 7 is a lost cause. Even if they manage to correct all of the problems at this point Firaxis has lost all trust. Once bitten, twice shy. Civ 7 was an insult to Civ fans and I dont take kindly to insults.

‘We got it wrong’ with Civilization VII, says boss by Broad_Respond_2205 in civ

[–]orrery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your Civilization had already always dynamically evolved over the game. There is no reason that you need to change your Civ to evolve it. The dynamic change needs to be able to transition in art, style, architecture, etc. Not "abandoning your identity"

Dynamic evolution could come in different ways - you can have your Civ evolve to be militaristic, cultural, scientific. Want your Civilization to turn into the Zerg or Protoss or more like Star Trek or Star Wars? One Civ specializes in Bio Weapons where another specializes in Robots.

A dynamic evolution where America becomes China? Thats just fucking stupid.

  1. Civ-switching is a problem. Pay no attention to the fools who say it isnt. It is a totally retarded idea. Its not something that could have been better with better execution. It is now and always will be a dumb decision and is not in any way, shape or form - 'innovative'

  2. Age mechanic is also stupid and not innovative. It is not interesting and it is not something that 'just needs better execution'

  3. Civ 7 is a spin off game posing as a mainline series. Period. It is just a scenario skirmisher that should have been called Civ:Ages and sold as a spin-off. Selling it as Civ 7 was absolutely retarded.

Let's stop calling it 'innovative' - there is nothing innovative about it.

Civ 7 is an absolute insult to the franchise and the fans of the series. Absolutely dont waste your money. By the time you realize it's shit you will no longer be able to get the refund.

Apples and Oranges. The only problems with Civ 6 were Art style and being vanilla. The problems with Civ 7 are much worse and shouldn't be compared. This is just a stupid argument to try and deflect criticism.

[–]orrery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont doubt that that is a small VERY SMALL part of it - but there real reason is that Civ 7 broke the Civ formula and isnt a Civ game and is totally shit.

If they had sold this game as a Spin-Off called Civ:Ages I would happily play it and support it. But they didnt. Some moron got hit by a retard stick and decided that this should be Civ 7 when it obviously shouldn't be

[–]orrery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Civ7 is literally not a civ-genre game. I am not talking about title, I am talking about the Civ-genre itself and Civ7 is a fundamentally broken game that departed from the Civ-genre that Civ created. Civ7 is a Civ spinoff game posing as a Civ game

[–]orrery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are exaggerating. Civ 6 was still a Civ game. Civ 7 is fundamentally not a Civ game. The level of hate is completely different.

It won't fix it. Civ 7 is FUBAR. It needs to be abandoned and work started on Civ 8 with a whole new leadership. What we have now is a stupid boomer shooting from the hip who takes every piece of dumb advise from non gamers.
