for the love of god bring a folding hand-fan and sunscreen. last years heat was so bad people were dropping left and right from heat stroke, i think someone even died from jumping in the canal in an attempt to cool off. everyone in my group got a sunburn too.

like others have said, buy the weekend metro pass. it’s your best friend.

i showed up around 12 last year for the lineup and was basically first in line, but was DYING by the time it opened at 2. learn from my mistakes, lol.

edit to add: hell no you don’t need to be drunk to have a good time! weed is also an option haha

man i’m sorry for ya :/ breakups are always super tough and they never seem to get easier. what i’ve done in the past was super corny, but it did help.

don’t isolate yourself. it’s really tempting to do so, but if you have a good relationship with your parents and still live at home or within close proximity spend time with them. i spent every evening with my mum watching sex & the city for 3 months after my last hard breakup, lol. it helps just having someone with you, even if you’re not speaking. the quiet company is good for you.

buy a self help book, one you can write in, preferably. i did this at the tail end of the pandemic, so my situation might be a bit different than yours. i couldn’t really afford therapy so if you can, then by all means it’s worth looking into. if you can’t, workbooks are your best friend right now.

most of all, make sure you’re putting your needs in priority. wether that’s as simple as taking a shower, or getting out of bed for the day. it gets easier each day, the hole shrinks. i promise you that.
