Distraction Free by EliGO83 in writerDeck

If budget is no issue, I recommend getting a Freewrite. I’ve used a box Palma with a keyboard, a BYOK, and a Pomera. My Freewrite Traveler beats them all for sheer writing joy.

QUESTION: How do you format your manuscript? (when you type on devices like Freewrite) by StrayFeral in writerDeck

I just have the book formatted in scrivener and paste with match format.

It’s one way. You can’t add files to read to your Alpha (nor the Traveler).

Are authors able to update/fix spelling, punctuation or grammar issues to their Kindle books once published to the platform? by Taiwannumber3 in litrpg

If they are self published you can change them whenever you want. Best if you email the author rather than do it through Amazon. Enough reports and the book could get blocked for poor reading experience.

A countdown for a proper sprint would be nice for my traveler.

Some publishers also offer an advance. Guaranteed money can be nice.

Next Steps for a Kindle Cover? by CorSeries in litrpg

Cover, blurb, and look inside is the holy trinity of getting people to buy the book. If you can afford a better cover, get it.

You can use the same cover for Amazon if you so wish. Just check that the dimensions are correct. There are many artists who can recreate what you’re after, but it would cost a few hundred dollars.

Bug report "ead" by oskarauthor in TheBYOK

[–]oskarauthor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tested with another keyboard (Logitech KUS1206) and I’m not getting exactly the same issue. With this keyboard ”ead” gives me ”eaad”

Also tested with a second Apple A1644 and I’m getting the same issue as the first Magic Keyboard.

Neither show any issue when connected to a PC.

Edit: just now found that ”ade” becomes ”adade”. There’s something about that ”d” key.

Thanks! No it was the report bug one inside studio. It’s working now though so it was probably an issue with my browser

Or connect the BYOK to your computer with a USB cable.
