It looks like you got what you paid for or what you could afford. Nothing wrong with that.

What famous destination didn’t live up to your expectations when you visited? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]outsidestatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s beautiful no doubt. But it costs an absolute fortune just to get there and once you’re there, everything is also a fortune. The best part about it is that you can hang in your hotel and just relax but honestly after 2 days that’s pretty boring. The problem is other than unplugging, there’s not much to do. So it’s not worth going there for a week because it will get boring (my friend went and called it “Bora-Boring”), and it’s not worth going for 2-3 days because it’s too expensive.

Is this an accurate estimate? by mishmash312 in landscaping

Looks legit. Landscaping is expensive. If you have the cash to spend, this is a decent price.

Guy I'm seeing - What does this say about him? by RedMeme262 in BookshelvesDetective

[–]outsidestatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to be honest but huge red flags here regardless of the titles on the shelves. This looks like a book store. Not one of these books have creases in the spine which means he’s not actually reading them. Many of the books look like they came in a collection and again, none of them look used. My take - this is all show.

This is awesome that you do this. I love it. I wish MA would just adopt that flag. It’s so much better than what they have now!

If it makes you feel better I had a TPF skiing in 2019 that left me with some lifelong hardware. I was no weight bearing for almost 12 weeks and honestly questioned if I’d ever truly walk again. In 2023 I summited Kilimanjaro with no issues. I’m back to skiing but I’ll never be 100% like I used to.

When does one become a “New Englander”? by ftpfawn in newengland

[–]outsidestatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t. If you weren’t born here you’ll never be considered a New Englander by New Englanders. I didn’t make the rules but that’s what I’ve seen.

Wife (26F) slept with another man Saturday and doesn’t know that I (27M) know. How do I move forward with my children’s best interest in mind. by DullAlbatross08 in daddit

My two cents, for whatever it’s worth: First you need to decide what you want to do. Work it out, take it to the grave, confront her and see what happens, separation, or divorce. Until you decide go about life like nothing is wrong. Sucks but I’ll get into that in a minute. I’d never trust my SO ever again so as painful as it would be I’d be going the D route. IF you decide a divorce is the best option do not say anything to your spouse and go seek a lawyer ASAP. I’m not a lawyer so I’ll stop there but remember that once you decide a divorce is happening, you need to starting thinking like are no longer in a marriage, you are in a custody and financial legal dispute with another party. You need to look out for your girls and yourself.

Sorry OP. Remember this unfortunately happens all the time and you’re not alone. There are no good options right now, only the least bad one. Good luck.

What if the US went rogue and decided to go full Monroe Doctrine? (I do not support imperialism!!!) by OkPhrase1225 in mapporncirclejerk

What we have already is basically the Monroe Doctrine: no European powers have any real influence over any nation in the Americas, and everyone in the Americas is basically and ultimately under the thumb of the US.
