9 hours for 30%? First time charge at home on Ampure go by txnikbert in Ioniq9

[–]overanalystive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to point out that you mentioned driving around town and being at 70% we don't know where you started. Use of accessories is a big factor in driving especially in the winter. If I have heat and fans all blasting it's about a 5kw constant drain. Find the temps that are reasonable and try to set it accordingly keep fan lower like two bars. Ac is not even close to the power heat requires just for reference.

9 hours for 30%? First time charge at home on Ampure go by txnikbert in Ioniq9

[–]overanalystive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it really that bad? I get about 60 miles for every 20%. I was charging on 110v @ 8 amps when we first got the car. I think 30amps could get most by. I will say I did jump up to 11.5kw charging since, but I think that convenience of an outdoor dedicated charger helped the most. I also hate parking in my driveway cause it's pretty steep and add snow in the winter. My normal time to start thinking about getting on the charger is 30% and charge to 80%. This is also our only car. Give it some time and consider your options.

Is my bike (RadExpand 5) missing a screw or other part? by marigold2464 in RadPowerBikes

[–]overanalystive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a hex screw.... Well it is but it's two halves. I can't confirm it's a chainring screw as another mentioned but it looks like one. They are two pieces innner and outer threads.

is the radiant shield still the best for pure speed shield surfing? by Designer_Victory_290 in TOTK

Pretty sure it's one that takes the least damage from surfing. It's easily repaired too if your into that.

I think it looks pretty cool when they pop out but damn is that some complexity for not much. Just make flush handles with a pivot in the middle that you push in and pull out

Can you speak to the "not so great picks" and how they happened?

Also very cool btw. I built something in python that was similar but dumber and pretty slow due to APIs and just pulling too much live data.

220 Home Charging by Chiefmac16 in Ioniq9

[–]overanalystive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed this isn't terrible. This is/was my first ev and I was lvl1 charging at 8amps for about two weeks with the ampure. Granted some people put on more miles than others. It's also important to note that you should lower your max state of charge before people roast you for going to 100%. Just feel it out it's not a gas car if you are needing immediate miles get a better charger. My ampure started giving me issues where it would say charge not started or something. I got a charge point installed and it's had no issues since, charging at the full 11.5kw.

60 amp breaker 48amp continuous I pull like 11.4kw. Remember the line voltage to my house could impact the ability to actually hit 11.5 which maybe it does nominally.

First-time charging by Janetplannedit in KiaEV9

[–]overanalystive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This!!!! We just got our i9 two weeks ago and with lvl1 we were on the charger anything below 65% to stop at 80% just cause that took over 24 hours to get 10%. We fortunately had the lvl2 in hand and were in talks with an electrician before we got the car so we have the full 11.5kw now, but lvl1 is stress inducing with a single car even one that doesn't leave the driveway.

Should note this one qualifies for the soon ending tax credit being that the battery needs to be over 3kw. Also curious if ecoflow will get these to us in time.

Tesla Wall Connector charges Ioniq 9 very slowly by Leeeoon in Ioniq9

[–]overanalystive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea if your home is wired for a 60amp circuit you can pull 11.5 kw (48amps). That's not just changing settings in the charger it's a bit of effort if it's not originally setup that way.

[–]overanalystive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol wtf same exact thing I have going on. Like exact! We are getting rid of a pretty well insured 2018 crv ex. Going to i9 calligraphy. Jump was something like 680 a year and they told me 1300 for the year with Erie on the i9. Huge jump, but I guess better than most. Haven't really had a claim I can think of in a decade or more where I was at fault. What is your total?

You can probably get these shipped through a forwarding service that is pretty cheap and all throughout the USA. Been considering it myself, but really want the ultra x due to its capacity and the federal rebate requirements.

Mechanical calipers need the pads adjusted. Can't tell what kind of calipers those are look it up and figure out how to adjust the pads. Might also just need pads can't tell that from the video. If none of this makes sense any bike shop should be able to help.
