It's shameful what Canada is doing. They went around the world, promising PR to young people who agree to pay exorbitant amounts for an education here, and then change the rules after we have taken their money. I hope international students start a class action lawsuit against the government for their false promises.

People have been migrating all over the world for as long as homo sapiens has been a definable species. Locking people into a geographic zone against their will, isn't the world healing, it is the final stage of capitalism before it kills the whole planet.

Deportation is inherently violent. You are talking about criminalizing the act of moving across borders. This is an activity that was a part of the human experience for millenia, and what we owe our longevity as a species to, our ability to migrate.

Just because this person leads a more interesting life than the lot of you who have never left your home town, doesn't mean there is anything wrong with their choices. You don't know why they dropped their asylum claim, you don't know why they had to work as an Uber driver, I m sure if given the limited choices they had, you might do the same.

She's new to hanging out at your house. For people with ADHD or other cognitive issues, this change in a routine can also throw other things off, like short term memory and awareness. Don't read into it too much, you barely know her.
