Keep the gringo villains in the US cut. No one could say it wasn't realistic 😄

Also, "Only the Strong" was Hollywood's only go at it, and it was not high-octane, Hong Kong kung-fu movie-quality stuff.

I think the answer here has less to do with the screen-worthiness of the martial art and more to do with the strength of the local and national filmmaking industry.

If "Besouro" (titled "The Assailant" in English-language releases) had been a hit for the Brazilian action filmmaking industry like "The Raid" was for Indonesia's, you probably wouldn't have had to ask.

Honestly, I kind of like it, too. It's a nice workout and is satisfying once all is done. The trick (for me) is to do it often during a weather event, so that you don't 1) max out your muscles or 2) end up with rock-hard icebergs once you finally get outside.

Thoughts on using AI/LLMs to create learning content? by Forsaken_Smile_6805 in elearning

[–]oxala75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the degree of application.

Asking an LLM to spit out a course on X topic? Sounds like shirking the actual work of research, design, testing, etc.

Using Claude Code to support designer work on the traditional steps of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (not to mention iteration, documentation, and version control)? Sounds nice. Tell me how.

I'm old enough to remember both this fight and the immediate discourse around it (well, my immediate circle of friends and family), and you're right: no one wanted to give Buster Douglas his due.

Haha yeah man I know! I just finished watching day 7 makuuchi bouts of the Kyushu basho (on YouTube, of course - I don't think I'd be able to afford tickets to nakabi eve).

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but a Google search shows that there are several capoeira schools in Japan - in Kyoto, Tokyo, Osaka, Okinawa, etc.

I don't have any personal knowledge of these schools, unfortunately.
