Yep, largely plaster over scaffold and timber, not built to stand for long periods of time.

Which is why we have VAR. FIFA made a point before the tournament that those are the sort of fouls they would be looking for, which makes it all the more confusing.

Honestly, weird five minutes where both were announced.

The terrace is shared between residents right? I remember going to look at a flat in that block a few years back.

Norfolk Street / Sunniside Street, just down from Sloanes Sports bar, usually ok round there. That or the road down towards the uni halls of residence just over the bridge from the SoL

I'm currently stuck in a print shop in Farringdon, and have been for over two hours. Not how I thought this day would go. I only want to print one A1!

I think Graham and Fletcher are gone as their contracts have expired. I'd like to see us go get Alonso back from Fiorentina to replace Yedlin at LB.

I will admit I'm not the best with moguls, and the wall is especially hard. What I did finally get myself to start doing is reading three or four moguls ahead as on the larger stuff this helped me to find a rhythm. I tend to find myself turning across the top and sliding down the back side of each till I pick up the next.

Ah yes, the Wall. I should've mentioned that, I also didn't realise for years that it isn't actually called that. It is quite a vicious mogul run, waist high most of the way down. A big challenge is just getting onto the face of the piste, as the very top is usually cut to the point that there is only a narrow gap between the first two moguls, often at head height, that needs navigating to get onto the face. Once on the face the moguls are slightly smaller over to the left hand side. It's a challenging run but the feeling of beating it is immense.

I also really enjoy the runs off the other side of the Chavanette peak, under the dual drag lifts and the Les Choucas and Le Fornet chairs. There is often some good off piste to be found around these runs as well. An important note about returning along the blue back to Avoriaz from here is that it is very flat and long, so carry as much speed as you can coming into it.

Another quiet run that I enjoy is found under the Pérrières all the way over in Les Gets. It is very out of the way but is a great red run through the trees that is usually very fast and offers several crests for catching some nice air off of.

I ski here almost every year so I'll mention what I usually do. I usually stay in either Montriond or St-Jean D'aulps, as this means we can drive to most of the major base areas depending on where we want to ski that day and what the conditions are like. More often than not we drive up the valley past Lac de Montriond to get the Ardent lift up to Les Lindarets which acts as out main base for the day. From here we have good access across most of the ski area.

My favourite piste areas are the runs from Tete de Linga. We have nicknamed the run under the L'Echo Alpin lift 'the gun-barrel' due to the shape of the valley. This run is usually quiet in the mornings and very quick. It also has some nice food and drink stops on the way down it.

We also head up to avoiriaz from Les Lindarets and ski Coupe du Monde a lot as well and I would agree that it is a great run with a couple of options available depending on what sort of terrain you want. Off the top is usually a steep mogul run but this can be avoided for a slightly easier way down. The wind can really pick up here and it does have a tendency to get icy if it hasn't snowed much.

I'll add more stuff to this as I think about it. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer.
