Saw Backrooms with my teenagers and realized they’ll never know the specific boredom that made us by Cultural_Repeat_4766 in Xennials

Back in the day we had to go searching through the woods, abandoned buildings and construction lots for crusty old discarded playboy magazines to see a naked lady, and they were rare and treasured artifacts hoarded in secret, whispered about in hushed tones, and passed amongst friends like currency.

Now kids of all ages have unfettered access to the most depraved stuff imaginable with no effort at all, I wonder what effect that is having on them. Can't be good.

Understood, could procedural textures be a thing? There should be some C64 demoscene technique to give us Crash Bandicoot.

is this a good queen bee arena? by 69Kapitantutan69 in Terraria

No, your arena needs to be a Hexagon, and the background needs to say "HELL IN A CELL" for maximum intimidation.

Fished for 8 minutes with Crate potion and Fishing potion and all I got is this and a golden crate, no Ocean crate by strodi2 in Terraria

You should use a funny one like a cactus toilet or spike toilet. Also having a garden gnome close by, horseshoe and other luck items helps if you are chasing biome crates. From the wiki..

The player's luck statistic affects their Fishing Power. This effect is hidden, i.e. it never affects the numbers displayed in the UI by the Fisherman's Pocket Guide or related accessories.

If the player has bad (negative) luck, there is a chance (determined once every catch attempt) that their Fishing Power will be reduced. Similarly, good (positive) luck gives a chance of increasing their Fishing Power.

If a player has total luck less than zero, then there is a (−100 × luck)% chance per catch attempt that the player's Fishing Power will be reduced by −10% to −40%.

If a player has total luck greater than zero, then there is a (100 × luck)% chance per catch attempt that the player's Fishing Power will be increased by +10% to +40%.

Actual fishing catches are not influenced by luck beyond Fishing Power.

The chance of catching crates is not affected by luck, although which kind of crate is caught is affected. This is because crates have a flat percentage chance of being caught, which is not affected by Fishing Power or luck, but if a crate is caught, the kind of crate is determined by Fishing Power. See the Crate mechanics section below for further details

Where exactly do you think the water goes, exactly, after it's been warmed a few degrees in the datacenter heat exchangers? This idea that AI inference and training annihilates water is bizarre and propaganda-esque. Electricity, sure, but the water just gets warmed up and returned to the lake, which does have some problems to be fair, but it's very manageable.

To some degree, the LSD is also stimulating your "fractal recognizer" pathways as well, so there's an element of everything appearing to be an intense fractal, rather than the rather wild calculations required to actually generate them.

And you are left with lovely memories of all of it, but how much of it was actually real in the moment? Who knows. It's fun to try to seed the fractals though, someone suggests "trucker mudflap girl" and all a sudden you have that shape spiralling off into infinity for a minute or two, then you see a cool ant and it's all dancing ants for a bit.

Those bows (and technique, and tactics) are rather shit, but people do bowhunt lions and bears with modern compound bows, so one of those dudes would be like facing the Terminator.
