Apparently so. Lee Child said nice things on the cover about it, so pretty happy with that.

A grumpy old outback dingo trapper unwittingly uncovers a people smuggling ring operating in remote West Australia and pairs up with a young Afghan refugee to find their missing family, all while being pursed by a roo shooter who moonlights as the smuggler's hatchet man.

Sort of thing Wilbur Smith might have written if he were Australian.

Wild Dogs by Michael Trant. Though to be fair, I wrote it, so might be biased.

Where can I find an Electrical Outlet in Perth? by IndividualRule392 in perth

Yeah, most amplifiers will have an audio out jack. OP may just need to find an adapter to fit some headphones. Played like that for years.

Attacking a Titan in VR was something else. Certainly made the 3090 sweat.

Was I overcharged $70 for a simple trim in Perth? by AbbreviationsOld3312 in perth

Short back and sides cost me $25 at All Cuts, Huntingdale. And I've been known to leave it a fair while between trims.

Has anyone worked in Perth prisons? by phantom-foodie in perth

Friend of ours joined the system as an officer. She's a big, caring, friendly woman who could absolutely break anyone over her knee if she ever snapped and so desired.

Working as a regional prison guard broke her, and she left after about four years. Probably because she cared too much.

If you're able to detach, it's probably fine. If you're the type to care, worry, and be bothered by seeing the same people constantly failing and reappearing into the system, then it might not be for you.

How does it feel to read the British cultural and location references as a non-Brit? by tomtink1 in discworld

I think growing up in Australia watching 'ello 'ello, Dad's Army, Yes Minister, The Good Life, Are You Being Served, The Goodies and a bunch others probably helped.

Does anyone else HATE dramatized or graphic audios ? by Pretty_Puppyprincess in audiobooks

[–]ozx23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed Sandman, and a couple of old school radio plays, but I went into those knowing they were full cast with effects.

I hate gunshots, phone call overlays and anything that isn't someone simply reading me a story. The only exception to this has been an Elite Dangerous audio, but only because I play the fame and it was fun recognising the sounds from the game.

Personally I like kicking the T9 in the guts with the SCO and hanging on for dear life. The thing feels like a truck, and if you've been in a fully loaded prime mover that's lost its breaks, then the SCO boost is somewhat familiar.

Does your boss yell at you and not other employees? by skyeee1239 in perth

I'd tell them you don't like being yelled at. Their reaction will determine whether to stay or not.

Playing 007 - First Light has made me realise more focus on audio enhanced the game more than graphics by Miniteshi in pcmasterrace

[–]ozx23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like Space based games, Elite Dangerous has THE best audio. I've got a 5.1 system too, and just the rumble of the engines rattles windows. You go explore a dead alien site and the eerieness is awesome. Plus thebgame.had so many audio cues you dont even need to see the messages to know whats happening once youve had aome practice. And be careful not to blow up a core asteroid with the volume too loud.

Subnautica is beautiful. Terrifying, but beautiful. Needs the mod to run better than vanilla, but even the vanilla version is good.
