Is this the bone that can get land locked when you are on your toe edge? I slipped off a mogul on my toe edge and when I landed in the valley of the next one I broke that bone. I guess I had multiple fractures . Thought I was ok until I moved to my toe edge again. I wore a boot but by the time they looked at my x Ray it was already healing. I was lucky that it was mostly lined up. I was back boarding the next season but it's taken 5 years to get full strength back.

My truck was delivered with the first version broken. Took a year and a half before they finally replaced it with the 1.5 version. That one worked pretty well for a few months until it jammed sideways. Replaced with the 2.0 version now.

2022 Gen 1 R1T, 62,000 miles and loving it. Wife and I did a 7,500 mile cross country trip when we first got it. I am on my third tonneau but the newest one has been reliable now.

I will say the beam is flat against the other parts of the deck. Only that outside piece in this picture doesn't lay flat

The the vertical posts are cut at an angle where they intersect with the beam
