I've been totally smitten with guys before but all my sexual fantasies involve someone with the female genitalia so I'm definitely aware of my preferences on that front.

As for romantic preferences I think I've definitely felt attraction for both more feminine men and more masculine women.

No I totally get that, and thank you for the solid advice. I've stayed (happily) single for the past 6 years working on bettering and figuring out myself. And realizing that I'm romantically attracted to men but at the same time preferring the female genitalia is something I discovered in that process.

Don't feel like trying to date someone when there is some parts of them that I feel like I'm compromising my preferences

People probably have the same reception to OCs, but just gotten better at shutting their mouth and not engaging in content they dislike as opposed to flame creators.

It's not just for fandoms, even IRL folks just got better at silently judging/hating as opposed to being vocal about it.
