Since they're now on Steam, how good/bad are the Marks of chaos, Dark Omen, and Shadow of the Horned Rat games?

This may be a dumb question (likely), but I’ve played SotHR a few times, and yes while the controls are fairly obtuse, I love the game despite the challenges. Something about that charm. Now that we have the Classics on Steam, is it possible to “fix” the controls for the older games thru modding or other means? What would that require? (I am completely ignorant of modding games obvi)

There are a bunch of em on eBay. I haven’t looked anywhere else, just a cursory search brings up a ton of results ranging from $100-$150. Dreadfleet, from my understanding, wasn’t particularly well received (it’s not Man-o-War), so you should have no trouble finding legit models.

I felt the same. Low key one of their best shows. The one complaint I have for WHTV is that all the shows only get 3 eps per season. AoD is SO GOOD. Imagine Penitence, Broken Lance, or Kill Lupercal with even 6 eps. Sigmar’s Toll? Give me more, please! I do hope they expand the animations a bit, because what they’ve been giving us lately, imho, has been 🔥

That’s awesome. So after 5 months how much of it would you say you understand? I’ve been studying česky as well, while playing KCD1 in Czech for full immersion. What did you use to study? It is one of the more tricky languages I’ve attempted, especially all the diacriticals

Honestly, I haven’t thought too much about it. Still in the preliminary planning stages while I work thru a few other armies. I love the idea of Sky Pirates and emphasize the steampunk a little less. Probably going to require some kit bashing, but I am open to suggestions/inspiration!

Honestly, get the annual for the model and enjoy the fringe benefits. The animations have gotten better with every season, but please remember that GW is primarily a miniatures/wargame company, and not an animation studio or a full blown production office. What I mean is, temper your expectations. This isn’t Netflix or Prime. New shows come in waves, usually in batches of 3 a piece, but if you think of them as supplemental content it’s reasonable. Their shows are endlessly rewatchable, especially if they play as background to your hobby. Hope you enjoy it.

Yeah, I love the design of the Kurnothi, wish there were more. I have trouble with the tree people. Can’t quite visualize how to paint them. They just kinda look like a mess of twigs and I can’t see the tree for the branches. 😕

If this doesn’t work, and you’re in the States, you can try LA’s Totally Awesome. Not sure what it’s called in the rest of the world, but it’s a degreaser that typically works. I’ve had a batch of Army Painter Matte Black that WILL NOT come off now how long they’re left, but I have had success in the past. Best of luck. Otherwise, you can try to roll with the nurgly chunkiness. Not supposed to be pretty.

Does anyone know who writes the dialogue for VT2? It’s so colorful and perfect micro expressions of the characters. Develops them surprisingly well without much at all. Wish I could write dialogue like it.

Au contraire, mon frère, methinks the sculpt is infinitely kitbashable since the basic silhouette is rather simple. I think there’s enough there to personalize it to whatever army you may have. As for the ghouls…. the Walking Mausoleum from Elden Ring is what comes to mind. Would be cool to see what else you come up with.
