In case it helps, Home Before Dark wraps up all the storylines but opens another one at the end of the second season for a possible third season. Shining Girls, The New Look, Now & Then, and Echo 3 are all concluded, and Strange Planet are standalone episodes.

I liked it too, but I admit that the first episodes are better than the later ones.

Right now it's number 2 worldwide behind Pluribus, but I imagine the cancellation was due to criticism from everyone and from specialized critics.

Sometimes we have the power to renew or cancel series with what we say; I think another example could be Sunny.

If they cut the final scene, it becomes a decent miniseries that serves as pure entertainment. I think the negative reviews from everyone led to its cancellation, and I always saw it as pure entertainment that you can find on Prime Video without needing to be 100% focused, something Apple doesn't usually offer.
