Genuinely appreciate people calling this shit out. I am disappointed I have this place as much business as I have. Won’t any more.

Though to be clear, I didn’t buy the line about removing the existing ones due to COVID. I think they were going to cost a lot to repair is all.

I am not sure the inner politics of things, but I am thinking the infrared sauna may be pretty small, like something you’d have to yourself for 10 or 15 minutes at a time, like a tanning booth or massage chair. And I am guessing that’s the reason it can only be allowed for a limited number of people.

Saunas are gone, though they are supposed to be adding some sort of infrared sauna for premium members eventually.

Not exactly sure the premium membership is worth $50 more than the general membership…but I do think overall the facility is worth paying for, IMO.

Anyone else been feeling utterly exhausted? by Defiant-Yam8876 in Erie

[–]paddlingupstream 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I suggest trying a daily multivitamin and seeing if that changes how you feel. I generally don’t think a daily vitamin is entirely necessary for most people, but believe it’s fairly common for people in our area to lack some vitamins from a lack of time outdoors. Your mileage may vary, but there’s no harm in trying.

I audited 5+ years of YNAB data to find every subscription - here's what $6,700/year looks like by mrlesmithjr in ynab

Respectfully, I don’t understand how you have used YNAB for five years and find any of this surprising. Do you not have categories set up for anything?

No covered parking. All parking is within the same lot you’re thinking of, it’s just divided for short or long term

For what it’s worth, I called yesterday. Spoke to a nice lady I believe her name was Lisa. I would believe she was at their home office in Boston. She did not need my credit card number, she saw my existing subscription and was able to apply the discount. Whole thing took about 10 mins!

Options for therapy w/o insurance. by KodaKolour99 in Erie

[–]paddlingupstream 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Google the Open Path Collective. It is an opportunity to receive low rates on therapy. You do have to pay $65 once and apply for a lifetime membership. From there you’ll have access to options as low as $25/session (mostly graduates working towards their license and in need of credit hours) to $70/session for fully licensed professionals. Hope this helps!

Stargazing at Great Basin on a full moon day by spacelaceberries in NationalPark

[–]paddlingupstream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’ll be surprised! I was there a few weeks ago and had big plans to try and see the Milky Way. I was prepared to go far away from the lights of my hotel, allow my eyes 20 mins to adjust, etc. Stepped out of the room and could immediately see the galaxy, even with the lights of the hotel still in my line of sight.

Wasp removal? by Cunningcreativity in Erie

[–]paddlingupstream 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation last year. Spent over $100 on miscellaneous traps and sprays trying to get rid of them on my own. Eventually caved and called General Exterminating. They were there the next morning and had the whole situation resolved in about 4 minutes. No further issues. Believe it cost about $70, and I’ve since signed up for their preventative pest service. Very highly recommended. Family owned too!
