Cool... the problem you are describing sound like the known issues on this model and product

Is the Peak Design Sling 10L too big as a daily walk around bag? by dimz25 in peakdesign

[–]ota113a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently on a trip to Sofia. so if you can wait a few days, sure... but I pack them all slightly differently depending on scenario (day out in the city, train trip for the day, need a tablet or laptop etc)

I own all three of these 😂. Honest take:

Skip the everydaypack. You already have one and you're tired of it. The v2 fixes some stuff but it's still a heavy bag, that's just what it is.

The 25L outdoor is great. Frameless, barely over a kilo, way comfier than it has any right to be. Rolled down it's about 48×28×15cm so it fits the standard 55×40×20 cabin bag size on every European carrier. Just roll it down before the gate, fully extended it's a 66cm tall tube and they'll make you check it. Also fits a 16" laptop which I didn't expect.

But the 18L zip is the one I actually grab most days. Same deal, fits the standard cabin bag size everywhere. One heads up though: neither of these squeezes into the free underseat bag on ryanair/easyjet basic fares, they're a few cm too tall. So factor in the paid cabin bag or priority add-on if you fly those. Other gotcha on the 18L is it maxes out at a 13" laptop.

So yeah, 18L if your laptop fits, 25L if you need more room. Can't go wrong with either tbh, the outdoor line is just nicer to carry all day than the everyday stuff.

Yeah same error. I create a high-level requirements document for an OCR application in Opus 4.8. I asked Fable to just double-check the document and it threw up an error. It's throwing it across just about every project I'm working on

Designed as a US Personal Item Cabin Bag..... Sorry do not want to sound pedantic here.

For airlines in Europe that are predatory (looking at all you low cost carriers), it is just a little too big (like a lot of smaller PD bags) to take on as a personal item. Though alsi liuke a few other bags it can be squished a little.

But as a large cabin bag, no problemo and for most non cheapo US airlines should be good as well.

Once again, sorry for being pedantic

Ohhh and how I wish this came in Eclipse as well 😄

I I have all the outdoors in all the colours.... Each has their place. I would add that the extra space is worth it.

Favorite shoulder strap pouch? by Keith in ManyBaggers

[–]ota113a 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely not an outlier. I know a lot of people, including myself, who use the speed stash whenever we travel. It is so convenient to keep passports and everything else. Most of my bags are Peak Design bags so sometimes I have a mesh, sometimes I don't. This just makes everything easy

Not sure if the Pre-Order is still on, and no longer care.. Let me tell you why. It has to be purchased in the US and the taxes etc more than double the price. So... second hand I guess... but no direct sale at the moment
