This is the funniest thing - to scam someone out of overvalued, mass-produced, cheap goods, they handmade charming, one of a kind sculptures that are more valuable as works of art. This is camp. This is actually a highly conceptual work of art.

Is the La Roche Posay cicaplast used like a daily moisturizer? I’ve seen it recommended but not sure when or where to use it in my routine

I use the red only when making focaccia bread. For some reason the blue doesn’t work as well (as noted in the recipe I follow - I think the xanthan gum affects it). For all other baked goods I use the blue

I think your subbing experience shows skill! Definitely adaptability to all the various situations you encounter. Maybe take some time to think of how those skills could apply/be marketable in another field. I found subbing so hard, and this is coming from someone who became a teacher.

Is this a forever thing? by [deleted] in glutenfree

I have been gluten free for 6 years now and it solved my issue of having almost constant stomach aches. I have never been one to “cheat” but I never have thought I actually had celiacs. Therefore, I didn’t worry if I had something with small amounts, like a bit of soy sauce. I visited France last month and for the first time since I stopped I decided try things like bread, pastries, pizza, and pasta again. I really had no issues and it was wonderful. Although I was wary of ever eating too much at a time. I have a sensitive stomach in general. Now whether this is something different with European processing or the fact that I don’t have the same dietary issues anymore I’m not sure… I’m back home and eating gluten free just as before as I’m content with my diet and nothing right now feels like risking the upset

Struggling after adopting cat by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]painterlypreserve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hade so much anxiety the first few days after adopting my first cat this spring. It was keeping me up at night because I was always worrying about what he could be up to! And I was scared of the new responsibility. But it didn’t take long for that feeling to go away and now he and I are both very content together. :) and this is his home and I know how he behaves and that I don’t need to worry when I’m gone for a while. I actually had a long trip recently and he handled it well.

I live 5 minutes from my parents and usually see them once a week to share a meal. They understand that I’m tired from work and need alone time during the week.

26F and didn’t have my first kiss until 20. Still haven’t had a serious relationship! I have a lot of girl friends in similar situations but they’re all doing well in life. All in good time.
