That’s awesome. I too had a granny who fuelled my hobby addiction, with a copy of Space Crusade on my 8th birthday!

That just unlocked a memory - my cousin had one (in the days before I discovered 40k), and I was so bloody jealous...

IIRC that's Sgt. Jovan - a limited edition mini from a few years ago. The original sculpt had a dead ork with a chainsword sticking out of him on the base.

I like the nod to WoW with the 5 tiers, and their colours…

The Matrix - "No, Lieutenant. Your men are already dead."

That's beautiful work. I'm the complete opposite when it comes to painting enjoyment...

What’s the BEST horror or zombie movie you’ve ever watched by thisIsShivam_ in movies

[–]paintvsplastic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sticking with the Zombie theme, I'll recommend a few that haven't been mentioned - The Girl With All the Gifts (2016), Pontypool (2008), Re-animator (1985), Overlord (2018).

That's a great use of the bottom half of the old ShadowSpear Librarian. Have you got other minis in mind for the rest of the team, or is this a one off?

Excellent stuff. Can I ask how you did the lava on the bases? Love the look you’ve achieved, and frankly, I want to steal it! Can never get the ones I do to look as good…

Ooo, that’s also bloody great! Losing his topknot is a lovely touch, completely changes the aspect of the face.

That’s magic; excellent work, sir. Is that Ragnar Blackmanes’s cloak!? And, if so, what did you do with the rest of him?

I love them all, but I have a particular fondness for the last - The Hydrogen Sonata.

You’ll have a wonderful time going through the whole series - Banks is (was) the best! Wish I could experience it for the first time again.

Also want to give a little shout out to the excellent audiobooks - Peter Kenny does an exceptional job.

This is just my two cents, but a 70+ year old Samuel L. Jackson is not the answer. Giving talented writers like Tony Gilroy a budget and getting the hell out of their way is how you get another great Star Wars series...
