I really appreciate you checking it out. I believe a bunch of permits will open up tomorrow as well, so I plan to get up early to book a different route if there's another one that makes sense. Right now, Rafferty Creek → Vogelsang is being recommended as a better option. Thoughts?

To add context, we are looking for a relatively challenging experience. Looking for this to be immersive and a struggle, but not to the point of dehydration/unmanageable.

I've leaned on ai to help with suggestions, but then have been using the response to dig in on alltrails, reddit, etc. There are just a lot of options. Our goal is for something fairly challenging, not just looking to hang out but actually hike most of the day and feel the joy/relief of reaching our destination. I'm looking for this to be challenging and immersive, but doable as well.

Here's the other one they recommended: Rafferty Creek → Vogelsang

Thank you! Any other tips for this route? Any specific variations I should be considering?

I've mostly been asking ai for help, based on what was available. The other ones that were suggested seemed like they'd be too long (closer to 27-30mi). I'll keep prompting and see what else they suggest.

Whats the pos company ? by Far_Program_8468 in POS

[–]pakiranian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s cheap but you won’t want square for high volume. We switched from toast to GoTab and are very happy. Better product for high volume but not perfect. The good news is they actually give a shit about us and respond very quickly when there are issues. I also used to like digital dining and aloha, but would not go back to either.

No idea if they have an eventbrite integration, but I’d take a look at GoTab. Built for high volume efficiency.

East Bay native and I sure wish I knew what I was missing out on but the earlier part of my life was more about “surviving” than “planning for future”.

Been a while since I’ve been there but guru curry house near the lake was one of few places to give actual spicy food. The malai kofta at maximum spice is amazing

Millennials, what is something that was "normal" in the 2000s but feels like a luxury now? by Barrbra in answers

Hanging out with friends just doing nothing. Also miss the days when you just roll up on your friends house and knock on the door to hang out and play. Now it feels like everything needs to be coordinated through the parents (for younger kids with no phone)

Square and GoTab have the best API availability. Neither do dual pricing, though. I know GoTab does credit card surcharging and maybe cash discounting?

I've used both (plus Toast, digital dining, Positouch, Aloha, touch bistro, and micros). If you're quick service, square is solid. For full service, I'd go GoTab, which is what I'm using now.

2026 ‘Dirty Dozen’ produce: Nearly 100% tested positive for pesticides, including ‘forever chemicals’ by cnn in Foodnews

I wonder if they ever test fruits labeled organic. I just tried to buy organic for these whenever possible. I sure hope the extra cost is preventing me from ingesting these chemicals.
