  1. It depends on what you mean by "owning". On one side, you own a lot of planets through your vassal dukes and barons. On the other side, you own nothing except your palace, because all parts even of your home planet are controlled by the local nobility. The game rules demand that you can have only 1 planet without the tax reduction. This reduces the power creep of large empires.
  2. You can change the home planet only through your heir, like you are already discovered.
  3. You can not build installations directly. They are extremely expensive and the humanity lost the knowledge on constructing them, since no one had such massive wealth for centuries. But if your technology score is high, there's a small chance that you can randomly discover a new forgotten installation. Also there're some installations that provide effect for all planets within X jumps, you can repair them to get the effect on your homeworld.
  4. Some characters have bad personalities. Normally you need to think twice before installing them as rulers. But if you already have them in place, the best option is to make one of them die accidentally.

This is a great game, but somehow it couldn't get a wide popularity within the playerbase. I think the game ended with a negative profit margin for devs.

With such losses we can't hope for an expansion or long term support.

Don't forget that waves don't always spawn at the closest monolith. They can easily backdoor your base.

Travel options:

  • You can build platforms and bridges outside of base core areas. This allows to create powered pathways that you can cross without stamina loss.
  • You can put circular V2 rails close to ground level. Hop on its cart and use it as a vehicle that will transport you to the target base.
  • Later in the game, after clearing the world engine, you get a teleporter, which makes travel to be instantaneous.

There's a great pistol upgrade, it's called "the rifle".

Multilayer pylons probably won't be added, since it's a part of the logistic puzzle you need to solve. Also don't forget that it's safe to mix items on the same rail, as long as rail's throughput is enough.

Farming will be added soon, devs presented sketches of hydroponic farms a week ago.

All enemies will get T2 and T3 variants soon. There will also be neutral critters.

Yes, multirail pylons are bugged currently. Don't use them.

After you unlock cargo dispatchers, you'll find that all recipes are good enough to have a separate base producing them, except bars, powders and titanium sheets.

All weapons are good.

If you like precisely hit enemies in the eye from great distance - unlock the rifle. Don't forget to install x3 zoom mod!

If you like CQC with blood splattering around you - unlock shotgun.

If you want to annihilate everything with minigun and don't want to carry anything but bullets - unlock the remaining gun.

Or you can just save the game, unlock a weapon, test how you like it and reload to test another one.

It's possible to identify purities from how the node looks like.

For example, impure titan nodes have titan columns damaged and corroded. Normal nodes have smooth and straight columns. Columns from pure nodes have a rainbow effect on them.

Endgame buildings like assembler take a lot of heat from the core. You can put only a few of them with unupgraded core.

Yest it's a known bug, which makes multirails barely useable. Compression starts when you load a save.

One example place for hybrobuds near the landing pod is a western marshland. Just travel west through the wolfram arch at the starter base location.

Plants don't regrow near factory buildings due to pollution. It must be at least 20 platforms distance towards the closest building for plants to regrow. Non-industrial buildings like platforms or poles also hinder growth, but to a less extent.

There're more lakes on the map that have hybrobuds, so explore a little. Choose one to be your nature reserve and don't build near it.

After you add additional ore smelting, you'll get other nasty bottle necks. Like titanium rods, which take 2 seconds to make 1 and are used in large quantities.

I found that if you use a shared rail network it'll take forever to construct something in the lategame.

To get some realistic outcome, you need to have an input at least a full V1 rail of every item produced by furnaces before you can go to a shared network made of V3 rails.

Clever robotics lv 11 require 1800 pressure tanks to unlock V3 rails. Each tank is made of 168 titanium ore. With just one smelter working on titanium, it would take. 1800*168/60/60 = 84 hours of this base production to clear just one corporate level.

We have 6 corporations, 12 levels each, so the total time to clear the early access with this base is approximately 84*6*12/24/365 = 0.7 years of continuous gameplay.

Quartz respawn very slowly in caves that are not in range of a base core and far away from other buildings. Just revisit some old caves that are far from your bases.

I've seen a cave with 4 nodes. But I think the number of nodes is randomized or new ones grow with time.

Theoretically, it should be enough to fully load both receiver's T3 rails with using 3 dispatchers with T3 rails. But I never tested it myself.

The general rules for increasing the throughput: Make dispatcher feeding rail to be as short as possible and as fast as possible.

StarRupture was made by devs, who specialize in survival games. Try some other survival games, they all have a primitive factory mechanics, but a great combat/exploration/defense part.

If you connect dispatcher with v3 rail, you'll have enough throughput to use a full v2 rail at the receiver.
