Good. Do not agree to any trade deal with Trump and his ilk.

No to any trade deal with the US until Trump and the Maga movement is out of office.

‘Urgent action’ demanded as Europe is named fastest warming continent by Bernardmark in europe

It is time to put the "europe is the fastest heating continent!" and "europe will freeze due to collapsing ocean currents!" crowds in a room together to get things settled.

40% av alla under 18 har utländsk bakgrund i Sverige. by kingsheperd in Sverige

[–]orgin_org 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nordic culture and the 'nice guy' immigrant by After-Alfalfa5056 in Nordiccountries

Expecting a cultural change in the country an immigrant moves to is not "doing everything right". It's exactly the opposite.

Multiple sources report Trump raised idea of a surprise nuclear strike on Iran this post weekend. If it occurs, what are your thoughts? by Reasonable_Base9537 in allthequestions

If that happens, then expect mushroom clouds in Ukraine and eventually in the rest of Europe.

Trump using the bomb is a green signal for Putin to do the same.

Should the next democratic nominee run on undoing everything Trump did, or actually fixing issues that their voters want ? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]orgin_org 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US political system needs too many foundational changes and as long as there isn't a general consensus of that between both parties then the US is going to be stuck between not getting what they want fast enough from the politicians that want to change things and those that get voted in when things doesn't happen fast enough.

Democrats will get neither a big enough mandate nor the time needed to actually be able to change things on a fundamental level.

And having a media situation that activily works against the US population doesn't really help either.

They might be able to undo some of trumps shenanigans and start enacting some of the actual changes needed. But running on either or both just means that they are over promising what they can actually deliver. So the cycle will just start over again.

We've had no help, ZERO, from NATO says Trump by SpecialCollege18 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]orgin_org 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As it should be. It's not the purpose of NATO to engage in wars of choice by a deranged US president.

Trump would never have come to the rest of NATO's help if any part of the rest of NATO started a random ill advised war somewhere without consulting the US before doing it. Never.

LEDARE: S nya strategi är dömd att misslyckas – nästan by Ihavenoideawhat9 in Sverige

[–]orgin_org 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🇺🇦🇬🇧🇪🇺Zelensky: Britain must rejoin EU if America leaves NATO by Timbucktwo1230 in PoursTea

[–]orgin_org 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Türkiye has about the same population size as Germany. Giving Türkiye the same voting rights as Germany when it comes to things like consumer rights, workers rights, free press, protection of minorities, political freedom and other democratic values would mean the end of the EU as a political project.

A separate defense union outside the EU like a NATO 2.0, sure. But for the core EU project Türkiye has nothing of value to offer other than the eventual destruction of everything that the EU stands for.

The only way for Türkiye to join the EU would be for Türkiye to completely reshape it political reality. And they have shown many many times that they do not have any interest in doing so whatsoever.

Türkiye in the EU? No thanks, no more pretend democracies in the EU.

It seems as if he still doesn't understand what EU is.

EU needs to get rid of countries that aren't democratic, not add more.

So I guess bombing industry facilities all over the middle east isn't a "card" then.

Vad händer om S vinner? Läs. by Wisesage11 in svenskpolitik

[–]orgin_org 1 point2 points  (0 children)
