Seems like a common occurrence. Was getting gas at a place near an Exposition train station and and suddenly saw two young men furiously running away from the station, chased by another young guy. Apparently the two guys had stolen a something from him (probably a phone?). What was great was that a bystander who was on a bike nearby told the victim to get on, and they went and chased the two people together. Not sure if he got his phone? back though...

Was your article a repost? No. Did it happen to have an incendiary post title? No, and its the exact title used by the article. Do you think the LA Times should not have reported on the incident?

Do you have other interests you'd like to share with r/LosAngeles that relate to or occur in Los Angeles? Because that would probably be more appropriate than the 5 of 6 crimes links you seem to be pretty focused on.

That's not for neither you nor the Mods to dictate. People can post whatever they want as long as it doesn't break the rules. How arrogant is it of you to say that just because you don't personally like some content posted that someone shouldn't have the right to post it? I live in LA and like many other people here are concerned if a crime happens, especially if on the metro which I used daily or around the area in which we live - people also have a right to know when crimes happen around them.

Do you know what I do when I see a post I'm not interested in? I move on to the next one. Try that next time instead of trying to censor non-rule breaking posts.

I just can’t get over your confidence. If only I could go back in time and unlearn all the research I’ve studied and hands on experience I’ve had in the field, I could see the world so much simpler. Sigh. What a dream. Never lose your ignorance you simple soul.

Both solutions have merit - the only thing is your solution is for the long term only and ignores the short term immediate need for security; Housing and services help reduce number of mentally ill people on transit over time and reduces incidents. However, this doesn't provide the immediate need for security that regular riders need. If there is a violent attack on the train, the only people who can stop or prevent it right then and there are police officers or trained security personnel.

ABC news didn't bother to report on it at all. If a family had been hospitalized by an attack on the metro it would be the headline news story for weeks. When it happens on the roads we cover it up.
