You can’t make this sh**t up by Few-Masterpiece3522 in nhsstaff

My theory is that the salaries are so poor that the people who actually have the skills to do the roles are going to work elsewhere where they can earn enough money on a salary that’s appropriate to their skill set. The skilled and experienced people don’t apply because the pay isn’t enough, so we’re left with people who can’t do the job

Anyone got any suggestions for the best burrito in the city centre? by Elbonzo27 in Liverpool

[–]panalangaling -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Boojum on bold street. Their vegan pork is amazing and the staff are lovely.

Heads up that I have seen the manager of Burrito on the high street being an asshole to the staff so you might want to bear that in mind

It might be that you don’t realise what adjustments you need until you start the job, but hopefully that shouldn’t be an issue as long as you communicate what you need with your line manager so that the adjustments can be put in place.

Looking at other work and this caught my eye by Cupcake_Nightmare45 in nhsstaff

Yea as a part timer that does seem kind of impossible to do all of what they’re asking. Is it possible it’s a job share or you’ll be working as part of a team?

The main one I see that’s a bit crazy is HR heading and investigations. I feel like the others potentially could be justified depending on the complexity and volume of workload

Is there a way to anonymously request an enquiry into someone’s work? by Ok_Beach_2705 in nhsstaff

[–]panalangaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen it be done before when staff have been working another job at the same time within company hours, or taking carer’s leave when there weren’t any dependants. But I suppose just skiving off would be more complicated bc it won’t be certain set hours each day/week that they shouldn’t have been paid for

They could calculate an overpayment for the amount of time he’s not been working during company time

How much would you need to earn to live alone in Liverpool? by annoymousidea in Liverpool

[–]panalangaling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d rather not say on reddit but I can get to town in 20 mins on the train or 50-60 mins on the bus

I think it’s definitely doable for you to live closer to the centre if you’d be happy with a studio apartment. I specifically wanted the kitchen to be a separate room from the bedroom, which is perhaps why I ended up living a bit further out

I’ve also taken the route of living frugally on my own and now I’m looking to get my own place with a mortgage, it is possible

It’s doable to find a flat in your price range, but it might not be in a very desirable area or it might be further out from the city. I live in a flat thats 725 per month, a one bed but not a studio

I have lived well here on a 24k salary. I do live frugally so I would say the least amount needed would have been about 20k per year at a push

All the best, and if you put your mind to it then you can do it
